A seller had an item I was planning to bid on today. There were no other bids. Seller ended the item and re-listed it as a BIN at double the price. Isn't this deceptive and unethical as a seller? Is it against any sort of policy?

Seller put up an item for auction. Seller started the auction at a reasonable price far less than they actually wanted. Seller had second thoughts canceled the auction and listed it a BIN at exactly the price they were willing to sell it for. I don't see anything wrong with what the seller did. Not deceptive, not unethical and not against any policy.

Update: After having item listed as a BIN for less than a day, seller added a .99 starting bid to listing. Which is a butt ton less than original starting bid. So seller clearly is confused. Apparently not unethical according to y'all but definitely confused. Seller may end up taking a lot less than original starting bid.

Even if you were to bid on that 'much lower price'- how do you know that a 'reserve' would have been met?

I have no intention of bidding on it, just curious to see what it will actually sell for. Seller is a chucklehead.

After all that, you get an excellent better chance, and you have absolutely no intention on bidding on it even at 99 cents? WTH? Lol
