I'm a seller but also at times a buyer and a poster to Ebay forums. I purchased a item from a seller who refubish parts. Other than beind told that my item had shipped but tracking showing still on there dock 6 days later I was for the most part happy. Once I emailed my concerns I got no reply but tracking shows movement the next day and I had the item a day later so only a few days past the due date.
I have not decide to give feedback but if I do I would give 5 stars as I'm not out to put a hole in anyones boat. I looked at there feedback to me and this is what I saw. "Thanks! Please leave all 5 stars or call us at ******* with any concerns" Today I get a another type of request for feedback of the following.
"Hello,
I hope our product helped you to get your ******* out of crisis. Today, you have an ability to save our business and make an impact on lives of 94 people who work at ******* – dedicating their soul and hard work to customers like you.
I kindly ask for your help, as our company has faced an incredible injustice. Due to the random Google bot trigger, we happened to have all our hard-earned reviews removed from Google, bringing it to the bottom. It’s critical to have your positive review on our page as soon as possible. We strive to continue providing the Industry Best Service, and need your help with putting it to the light. Please, take a second, and share your experience with us here or click on this link to our Google Business listing:
It takes only 5 seconds to leave a review and save our business. I will be forever grateful. Thank you in advance for helping us out!"
The choises that I will made will be that I give glowing review or feedback or no reply at all to which I will decide soon. Still is this not a little over the top in asking for feedback.

Of course, sometimes I get these ornery streaks - you might want to just ignore it.
I can be ornery myself sometimes. Waiting a day to reply seems to make all the different in the world.

Then before I sent that, I'd consider whether I want to buy from them again. If no - send it. If yes, delete.
This was a onetime purchases so I feel no need to reply

I think you know what you should do in this case. That said, I agree with everything posted so far in the replies. It is way over the top and unwarranted to boot. No need for a neutral, just go on your merry way and forget about leaving them anything. You'd be lying if you did. Good luck....
Going on my merry way will be my most likely response but I’m not so sure that I’m above telling what one would call a white lie in giving 5 stars. If not for white lies what would one tell their children about Santa Clause and Christmas?

I'm confused.
The wording of the request sounds like they are asking for some sort of google "review".
Is this about eBay feedback, or a "review" someplace?
The feedback from the seller to me the buyer was "Thanks! Please leave all 5 stars or call us at ******* with any concerns". The other request was a email asking for a google review.

As a seller I have had over 2000 transactions. As a seller I have never received a neg and as a buyer I have never given one so do not plan on starting now. It’s just business. I am not this calm of a person for the most part but having that day to think about a reply seems to give the best results. Did receive a neutral once over selling a vintage camera. The 70’s camera strap had a smell and had to be washed.

Industry Best Service, really?
I don't think they are referring to Ebay feedback, it looks like they want you to write a google review.
Yes a google review is what is being asked.

As a seller, I would never ask for FB.
If I were in your place I would ignore the message and leave something like "As described" and not do any star ratings.

I am a seller and a buyer too.
But if something pi..... me off is the fact that buyers come with an unstoppable amount of begging requests, some ridiculous, some funny, some in the borderline of tragedy. I got taken this time by a person begging me to sell a $200 item for $130 claiming their home was burned down and their kids needed the items ASAP. I even went to chase the mail carrier around the block so they would have the item in 2 days.
So, I was checking on the tracking, delivered in 2 days. I sent a message saying that I was hoping they loved the fast shipping and the down to earth acceptance of their offer, and if they had time, perhaps leaving a feedback for me, so I could know their excitement.
2 weeks now, still waiting for the "oh sir, thank you very much, my kids loved it, etc"
