WHAT A  SCAM!!  WE ARE NOT ONLY PAYING FEES TO ACCEPT THEIR PAYMENTS, FINAL VALUE FEES ON SHIPPING, AND NOW ARE PAYING FINAL VALUE FEES ON THE SALES TAX BUYERS ARE CHARGED!!

Hi - I agree it is horrible. It should be illegal. Maybe someone soon will sue the ebay again. There are too many posters here that see nothing wrong with it at all. I find that very scary.

Every seller who has kept themselves apprised of the seller fees for eBay's Managed Payments is aware that final value fees include a fee on sales tax.

It's not a scam and it's not illegal.

Do you think ebay wanted to take on the task of keeping track of all the sales tax? Seriously, think about it. It is a HUGE undertaking for them. The 'profit' they are making on the sales tax probably doesn't even come close to covering the total expense that was incurred to keep track of the taxes, whether that process is fully automated or not now I am sure it cost ebay a ton to begin with to do it.
