Do all you sellers realize that Ebay takes a fee percentage off of the sales tax it charges also?

Do you realize that ebay takes their final value fee percentage off the sales tax also?

WHAT A  SCAM!!  WE ARE NOT ONLY PAYING FEES TO ACCEPT THEIR PAYMENTS, FINAL VALUE FEES ON SHIPPING, AND NOW ARE PAYING FINAL VALUE FEES ON THE SALES TAX BUYERS ARE CHARGED!!

Yes I do, and did you know they charge fees on the tax they charge on the shipping?

There's talk about charging fees on the tax and then they want to tax that, too.
I guess I shouldn't be joking about these things.

This may have been stated already but.... not only are they taking it off the taxes but also including shipping!! Now that is the most ridiculous thing yet. So they're saying the same item can have different final value fees depending on what state it's shipped to! Just ludicrous. Throw on top of that, new in 2022, they will have to report all cumulative yearly sales of $600 or more. I mean there is literally no point on selling on ebay now unless you're selling like tens of thousands of dollars of merchandise a year... which was why the threshold was $20,000 before.  I'm so sick of ebay but it is the easiest platform to sell on.

They've been charging the fee on shipping since 2010.

And why do you care that they're now reporting >= $600 instead of $20,000? You still had to report it.

Re: Do all you sellers realize that Ebay takes a fee percentage off of the sales tax it charges also

Not only that I don't even get to have the money in my bank account until it arrives at the buyers door and they confirm it!! I've been a seller for 20 years & above standard rating & they still tell me this! So not only are the fees increasing quickly, not only are we taxed with fees on taxes someone is already paying, but I don't even get the money for a long time! They said it's within a few days, that's a lie! It's when the person gets it & confirms! DISGUSTING!!!!! She literally told me on the phone, when I questioned why my first payout went out in a couple of days while everything else is on hold & she told me well Ebay needs to give us an assentive to motivate & stick around.....!!! These business's are greedy just like the Dollar Tree! Who was already making billions before putting another quarter every single item, which is more tax too....my 5 little nothing items went to $6.79 I was shocked what I paid $7 for....these company's are greedy while we all suffer!

Probably because you haven't sold anything in over a year.
