Sellers Like myself and others have been selleing a while on e-bay and I don't think they care if we stay or leave.
or stay. it has become more of a buyers site then a sellers site, the changes they have made lately to are more to help buyers then sellers. and this new way to sell is as worthless has it can be I have been using it from day one and to this day have only sold one item and they say it is great what a lie. it is a waste of time to contact e-bay becaues they don't care. it has been so hard to sell on their site lately and them seem not to want to change it for the better, this is whay I will not renew my store November 1, it is tiem to move on, have started putting my items on other plateforms and seem to be selling more on them then e-bay. the store closeing I have started is a waste still no sales on e-bay, my invoice for will becomeing out how do they think sellers can pay them if they are not selling. and this way of wanting you to lower the price lower is just another way for them to control your store. I would rather give everything i have to goodwill them to keep putting up with the no good changes e-bay keeps doing.

No, I don't think eBay cares if sellers leave.
eBay is like Uber ... there's always another person ready to sign up who thinks they are about to make a lot of money, but end up with long hours and low pay.

Of all the postings I have read on these forums since I started this agonizing journey, this posting has got to be by far one of the most genuine and heartfelt postings - you have struck a chord with many.

Apparently they care if you leave and go to amazon. But otherwise no way they care. Best regards

Yes, I do think eBay sees us as minimum wage high turnover sellers. But that's not me.
Rather than spending your time here complaining, do something about it. Sell for you and don't worry about what eBay thinks.

Owner of goodwill is a multi millionare...I would prefer to burn the items before giving to goodwill...Remember he is getting wealthy off you uneeded items and thats not right

Ok I get your point, I understand your thoughts..BUT NO ONE at ebay ever said they CARED...you sign up to USE the site...they help ort provide a platform and place to sell your stuff....with fees of course...they are a business and provide certain things...they give anyone the opportunity to sign up and make a buck, BUT YES it takes effort and adapting, change....BUT never did they say they care and will feel bad if YOU or I decide to move on...they are a business....period.
Ebay has changed/ shoppers have changed....the ON-LINE shopping has changed-- the current direction is NEW STUFF... not what the old ebay started as....there is a small place for it, but BIG Stores..NEW, Branded, stuff....is what is pushed. Does Ebay need all sellers possible, NO... there is sooooooo much overlap and soooo many selling the same stuff....RARE is not the same now...every garage has stuff....and NEW stuff is sold by so many....
THEY do need the variety of stuff, and just need people to search..look...see ADs on pages...that's where the money is...NO buyer has to buy....just search...they make money ...so more searching is even better than a sale...the small FVF is nothing...compared to someone searching everyday..hours looking..etc....
AND there are so many sellers, why? because they must be making money. Small seller like me...barely, but then again...more than I had...and sitting drinking coffee,..typing a bit..looking for thrift store items...pretty easy money if done right and ready to change with the times....
so no they don't CARE and arn't worried....but they do need to be aware of the trend away from ebay ..people simply don't search in ebay first or even second....because they have lost that from people.

eBay just sued Amazon for stealing sellers.

I think the wise ones who run eBay are just trying to stay relevant as an online selling platform in a heavily saturated market. Part of doing that is to kiss the a _ _ s of buyers.
It is difficult for many of those who have been selling on eBay for decades to adjust to these changes. Competition was not as fierce 10-30 yrs ago and buyers were of a different mindset.
It is now a dog eat dog world and we either have to keep up or do something else. Gone are the 'good old days' of eBay.
eBay does provide many ways to stay engaged: social media, community boards, promotions, eBay bucks, coupons, charity, meetings, events, etc. but in the end, we still sell on a highly competitive platform.
We get what we put in, and in this era, we have to put in much more than ever before to get a little back.
Good Luck in your future endeavors.
