I with eBay as a buyer/seller for over 20 years. I have 1155 feedback and never had a Negative one.
I used to sell when I was poor. Then I buy more often than sell. Last month I sold a fishing camera.
I listed all the parts that will be shipped and took a picture of the package.
Got a false feedback which is the first Negative amount of 1155 feedback in the past 20 years with eBay.
I sent messages to the buyer and try to find out what went wrong. No reply.
Called eBay 6 times and spent 4-5 hours (SR number. 1-488628257955)
This instance still going nowhere.
This instance made me ill as I believed in god and I have not done anything wrong.
eBay support keeps telling me is ok no to worry I can have many Negative feedbacks.
That is not the point. As a seller, I need a fair review.
2nd the eBay system only allows me to leave Positive feedback.
There is no Neutral or Negative selection which is unfair trading as I can't find this in any policies.
Agent after agent lies after lie repeating the same thing. Is ok to have Negative feedback.
Is NOT OK for me to be accursed when I did not do anything wrong.
I am waiting for they feedback team to reply again for the 3rd time.
Hopely is a real human to take a look of the case and get back to me.
But if is machine auto-generated reply again I will do the following.
1 . I am filing a BBB official complaint against to eBay for this.
At https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/san-jose/profile/online-shopping/ebay-inc-1216-204015/complaints.
2. I will follow up here with the case number.
3. Reaching on on the following social media platform and might be someone has same experience with me.
https://www.facebook.com/eBay/
https://www.instagram.com/ebayforsellers/
If you have any experience on suing ebay or the buyer please share.
I would think is impossible. But I am sick due to those calls and email to the buyer without reply.
Each time I call eBay they will suggest reaching out to the buyer and I did by email.
I have the buyer's address but I would not contact to buyer outside eBay as that is their policy.
Button line I followed eBay policy but they didn't give me a fair review of the feedback.
In addition, the platform does not allow sellers to give fair feedback to buyers by not providing
the option. See their feedback screen:

"Perhaps if you explained more about what the buyer was unhappy about it would shed some light upon it."
I think one of the reply had the point as the buyer assumptions are different than what is received which is not on the listing.
Basically I listed a fishfinder not been used anymore.
I listed what will be shipped and sell it as used which is working as I tested before shipping.
Buyer assumptions are different than what is received which is not on the listing.
Buyer assume ALL the parts are there but for me, I don't even know what is missing.
I can't read buyer's minds to know their assumptions.
The buyer assumed something was not on the listing and not in the package.
And this still is my fault. I just think this can be handled differently.
Buyer can ask me questions first about his assumption like if all parts are there then I can do Google search to find what is included in the package.
Or I can add something like:
"What you see is what you received. Please kindly do not assume anything else will be included. "

Interesting that in your extensive narrative, at no point did you explain why the buyer was wrong with his dissatisfaction with your transaction. Buyers are allowed to leave negative feedback if they feel it was a bad transaction and arent required to go through the trouble of begging you to make it right before they do.
From a buyers point of view sometimes we feel negative feedback is warranted to warn off other buyers rather than let sellers engage in sketchy behavior then cover for it only when buyers take the time to complain.
Perhaps if you explained more about what the buyer was unhappy about it would shed some light upon it.
Additionally I hope you didnt relay to ebay agents that this was making you ill because of your god, thats irrelevent and wouldnt help your case.
In the end one negative feedback isnt the end of the world, if Im concerned when buying I take it on a case by case basis.

The 1st negative hurts especially when you feel that you are in the right.
It is not worth your health.
It's just business. Walk away. Forget about it.
It's business, not personal.

Oh and as for only being able to leave positive feedback for buyers, thats because at this point, your desire to leave negative feedback is sole retaliatory in response to his negative feedback on you. This has nothing to do with his performance as a buyer in your transaction. He paid for the item in a timely manner, accepted shipment of it. You feel he failed as a buyer because he was unhappy with your actions or the product, and expressed that? Think about that.

Oh mobi, what are you blaming ebay over this? A human left a negative feedback for a sale of a fish camera.
You followed up with a response, now you say your getting physically ill over this, want to bring a lawsuit, contact the BBB?
Really, it's Christmas, be thankful for your family, friends, your life.
We just had a young local police officer lose his life because of a wrong way driver. He left 3 small children and his wife. I'm sure that he would gladly trade places with you and your negative fb.
Focus on what is important in life. Have a blessed and safe holiday.

Buyer says 2 pieces are missing......do you have any idea which they may be.........have you checked like sales to try to find out?
12-23-2024 03:52 PM
Yes, it can be unfair but not worth the stress. Your feedback is not going to prevent most if not all from purchasing from you. Dial it down and try to enjoy the holidays. IMHO

I think you have wasted too much time on this. 4 to 5 + hours is a long time.
You can't change this. Reporting to BBB will not yield any results.

in your description, if you had mentioned what was or wasn't included, it might have helped.

Sorry this happened but... Getting sick over feedback? It's business nothing personal. Perhaps selling online isn't for you.
Feedback is and always has been the buyer's opinion of the transaction.

Should have done the free shipping

You listed that fishing camera as a USED item. USED means fully functional and operational, can have scratches & dings. eBays policy will trump yours every day of the week Got this bit of info from your listing under item specifics

That negative won't effect your account other than YOU know it is it there. Just keep selling and the negative will move into the abyss after more positive feedbacks.
Not worth spending any more time or thought process on.
Enjoy the upcoming holidays.

Actually you did not list any parts at all. Your entire description reads 'Good working used 1-2 tiems during the winter. Stopped using it after getting a liveview fishing finder.'
You received one. Unfortunately the item was missing parts and judging from your reply to that feedback it does not appear that you know which parts those are. Buyer states 'Aqua vu was missing two parts for the camera, Would of been nice to know before bidding.' He was bidding on the assumption that it was all there and your listing did not state that there was any problem.
