I wish There was a way to opt out of ebay posting delivery estimates on my orders. They are a farce at best. The first day they list as possible delivery is actually a day BEFORE my ship by date. This leads to way too many requests, and less than positive feedbacks. On their advice I list my turnaround time at 4 days but mail every order out within two days and still have issues with this. A bulk of my items cost less than $3.00 and would not sell if I have to use expedited shipping to meet these stated times.

No, there is no opt out for estimated dates of delivery.
Not sure what you’re doing, but the estimated date of delivery on my items is spot on. I have 3 day handling time, most of my orders are delivered on the estimated date or before.

Keep in mind when someone searches up an item, the ETAs on the listing are for the zip code in which their account has as the primary ship to address. So when you look at your own, it sees you are in the same zip code as the item being sold. You can't see what others see when you do that.
Have you ever noticed the statement Ebay puts on your handling time when you select 4 days or more? On your shipping page it says "Will ship within 4 business days of receiving cleared payment. The seller has specified an extended handling time for this item." That also means you are dropped down a little bit in the search returns as Ebay does look at handling time.
You might consider shortening that to 3 days if you can. But 2 days is better. Buyers don't like having to wait for their items.

None of this answer applies. I'm looking at the Order Details page where it says. "Estimated delivery date shown to buyer" I'm not look it up for me. When I shorten my handling time to 2 days. the estimate drops even further making it more unlikely to be delivered within that window. Note that ALL of my orders mail out within 2 days regardless of what I say in the listing. and buyers don't like to wait, especially if they've been given a fictitious delivery date. Here's an example: If I ship out on the day the listing indicates I have to Ship backwards in time to meet the first expected day of the range. Even shipping 2 days earlier As I always do, ANY delay by the USPS puts me out of the range.

The customer bought Sept 29th, and if you had shipped it on the 30th, that would have been by Oct 4th. That's the only explanation I can give for that Oct 4th time and the Oct 10th time is the estimate if the item wasn't shipped until the Oct 5th.
I have > 24 hour handling time selected, so I can't really say for sure what quirks you get when you such long handling times, but this seems like what's going on.

@rosszonebricks gave you an excellent explanation on why it states what it does on this order.
As for what I explained, it is still true and correct, it just doesn't apply to your specific order, it is searching in general. I simply overlooked or didn't understand your post to be about specific orders. My bad.
