Looks like you are drop shipping.   Most likely from Ali Express.  If I were you I would sell things that I actually have in my possession.  Retail arbitrage is a big no no on eBay.  Drop shipping never turns out good.   Just sayin.

They are on your defect report for 12 months. Out of Stock defects are one of the worst things you can do as a seller. eBay takes those very seriously and it does not take many for you to be banned from selling permanently. DO NOT get another one. Never list or sell items you do not physically have.

Re: Defects

I noticed that you have 7 Grinch masks listed and they all look the same. Ebay does not like that -these items should be in multi-quantity listing.

Re: Defects

Although the documentation says that the defects last for 12 months, it is actually 13 months until they are not included in your Seller Level calculation.

Re: Defects

You need to have much better customer service also, a 94.7% FB in 2 months is not going to encourage  buyer's to purchase from you as it looks as though once you are paid you have no further interest in customer satisfaction.

Re: Defects

You have less than a dozen listings. How do you not know that you are out of stock? Are you in physical possession of these items or are you doing something you shouldn't?

Re: Defects

I would say you have a rough uphill battle ahead. You need a ton of transactions to offset the defect percentages. Have no margin of error in any transaction and will probably fall below standard  and will be  assessed with a high final value fee as a penalty.

Re: Defects

Two months with multi-out of stock cancellations is not good to say the least.  Check your dashboard, it will show how you are doing.  Have you fixed your out of stock problem?  Are you dropshipping?

Yup. It’s tough to be a new seller on eBay nowadays.

Re: Defects

I see lots of new sellers get themselves into trouble because they think they can jump on the site, start selling and just wing the rest.  As you can see, that clearly was not a good plan.

Well you have a year before these defects will drop off.  So during that time, do you homework.  Learn about the different ways you get defects.  The easiest way to do that is to go down your Seller Dashboard and look at all the information / links in each area.

Here are some important links to areas you should really take the time to learn about as a new seller.

It is what can happen when one does not learn the rules first.

Re: Defects

Continuing to let sellers list things they don’t have would be pretty stupid as well. Think about it from a buyers perspective. Would you want to buy some thing, and get a cancellation a day later because the item isn’t in the sellers possession? does that make for a good buying experience? Seriously, eBay doesn’t want you around if you can’t ship what a buyer bought.
