Had an item shipped out the next day and USPS SHOWED delay on the tracking. There was a major snow storm between WI and SC. EBay dinged me for late delivery and refused to remove delay defect. Their claim to remove fro weather is a bald faced lie.

Snow storms.
Floods.
Fires.
Death in the family.
Earthquakes.
Hurricanes.
Severe injury or illness.
I think they should all be exempt from penalty!!!

I'm confused. Why would a snowstorm between your location and the buyer's location make any difference if you shipped the item on time?
eBay will remove defects for weather delays if the weather prevented YOU from being able to ship on time, but it doesn't sound like that was the case here.

The USPS processing center that the package had to transit was hit by the snow storm.

One defect isn’t going to kill you. Instead of wasting your time fretting over one defect. It is much more productive to spend that time listing more items or find more inventory.

OP has a point. I've had about 100 packages affected from the 16th-20th and the defects are not being removed. I'm filing appeals and half those are being declined, even though I'm citing the notice from the 16th.
