Most Definately. I am guessing folks are nervous about economy, jobs, etc... I am not doing anything differently.

Wish all those like ourselves the very best moving forward. It is hard.

I've had a decrease every since eBay started managing payments and robbing us like a politician. It should be picking up but people were buying more when they didn't have to pay multiple taxes in each state along with eBay Taking almost 30% from sellers raising prices forcibly and then giving sellers products away for free because the mail is slow. I could go on, I'm just about at my boiling point with eBay and their customer service or lack of. I don't understand why a CSR has to be in an office setting they can work from home. I dont understand why managed payments cant stay in a sellers account until the seller releases the funds? Why cant sellers make purchases from there account? Why does it cost more for eBay to promote a product? Isnt that what we pay eBay for in the first place!!!! Just a rant, keep it going I fell better

Yes, 100%. My sales have just ground to a halt. I have been trying everything to peak interest and there are just no takers. Hoping November is better. I have heard from some others things are slow all over.

There was a USPS price increase starting on October 18th.

You mean the October slowdown I've seen every year since 1998?
Yep, it arrived on schedule.
This is the advantage of keeping monthly and annual records, you can see what is a normal cycle and what is unusual.
I sell Canadian discount postage and most of my buyers are eBay sellers. I am starting to get purchases from them preparing for the Christmas rush, which may be a doozer this year with people unable to shop locally and shipping to relations they cannot visit.
If your products are giftable, this may be a good year.
The October (actually Autumn, it started at Labour Day) slowdown was a nice rest from a very unusual Pandemic Purchasing Spree that most sellers have been reporting between March and July. That was like being back at the turn of the Millennium again.
Rest while you can.
Addendum: It strikes me that part of the excellent sales I've had this year was that our government immediately sent out $2000 monthly cheques to laid off workers and kept it up from April to now. There is talk of moving to replacing the hodge podge of welfare, pension, Baby Bonus, disability and other programmes in favour of a Guaranteed Annual Income. The simplification of the bureaucracy might make it worthwhile, to say nothing of putting money in the pockets of people who will spend it, and spend it locally, instead of hiding it in the Cayman Islands.

Sorry all, my sales have slowed down too. I believe more shoppers are going to Amazon. I have been doing all my shopping online via Amazon and the shipping is so quick compared to items purchased via eBay. I had to stop selling overseas due to huge postage delays. I am selling in Australia though so it might be different is US and our postage is hugely expensive here so how can I compete with free shipping from Amazon?

It was pretty minor - I didn't even bother to change my shipping over it.
But you can come here any day of the week and people are complaining about slow sales. Retail is always ups and downs, some inexplicable.

Yep, it will likely pick up AFTER the election. Many people are concentrating on other things than buying stuff. It is pretty normal for sales to slow down just before a presidential election. And this one is extra stressful for a whole list of reasons.

it was 25 cents on FCP. It shouldn't cause that much disruption.

My sales have been really strong for the whole of October there was a brief two week slow period before that though.

Yup sales are slow, don't use Ebay as my main selling platform anymore. I post but don't expect many sales.

Yep, for many of us sales have dropped the past month or so. As to why, well your tea leaves are probably as good as my own. It could be seasonal as people hold back in anticipation of holiday purchasing. It could be the fear of the unknown in the US politics. It could be the realization that the virus is not, as some fools think, going to magically go away or that there is a vaccine around the corner. Anyways feel free to just randomly pick a reason from my list or add a reason of your own.

Yep - sales are down 73% from last month and 86% from last October - worst October in 20 years.
