I sold a brand new Taylormade Stealth 2 plus 5 wood, the guy used it and now wants a full refund claiming it is defective. The club in question came directly from the Taylormade tour truck and can be verified by the serial number. How can eBay force a return when a legitimate new product is now used? I lose money because the guy doesn't "like" it?

If you were a dealer of Taylor Made equipment, you should be able to work the return out for the customer back to the manufacture. (take the return and handle the warranty with Taylor Made yourself) The other option would be to replace it with another club if you stock these normally. Take care of your customers especially if you are a authorized dealer.

Yikes. We're better off without them selling here.

Of course it does. I bought them for personal use directly from China and resold them here for less than the original purchase price. I clearly stated they were copies. If they were original, I would have used the authentication process, but they weren't and I said as much. I would have been happy to have this 5 wood verified through eBay, but they don't offer the service for golf clubs - and a thousand other things. If you doubt me, have a look at soccer jerseys. There isn't an authentic one on here. I can show you where they came from in China.
The club head was authentic. It was sold new. It was used. EBay tried to force a return. Those are four simple facts.

Not having to deal with this place is very relaxing. As per fakes on eBay, here is an entire store.

Yep and yep. Sorry to say.

That's the way ebay works, you must accept all returns no matter what. Never sell anything on ebay that you are not willing to lose that's the golden rule. Just graciously accept returns is all you can and should do.
