I have just been scammed and Ebay, who have facilitated the Fraud, wont do a Thing!!
Sold an ancient coin to a scammer in France. On Day 60 he put in a claim as it was a fake [it was not].
He then, after I accepted a return - at my expense from FRANCE - put in a fake tracking number.
The coin never came back, cant be tracked and guess what - ebay in France found in favour of the Rat, even though he provided ZERO evidence it was a fake.
So - he has the coin and my money.
Despite 17 calls to ebay they wont help me. Today I was told 'there is no email or postal address you can complain to'. They promise to call back but never do.
It has been reported to the Online Fraud Police - but apart from getting the **bleep** onto a database I dont know aht that will produce - not my money!
So - DO NOT USE EBAY GSP - IT IS A LICENSE TO CHEAT SELLERS.

I think it’s because buyer claimed it was a fraud coin.
why they believe the buyer over the seller? Who knows, it’s France.
i had a really great buyer in France a few years ago..
I would keep fighting. eBay has a team to investigate higher value cases like this. They once did anyway.

understand that but returns are issued by the seller and the buyer prints the return label once the return is approved... unless France Ebay has different method then we do?

Local Laws of where the buyer lives outweigh any eBay User agreements. For example, nobody can ship gems/emeralds/etc INTO India. So even if a buyer and seller agree to terms, the countries law prevent the sale from happening.
France may well have a law that if something is proven or claimed to be counterfeit that under the law they are required to refund. I am not saying this IS the case, I am saying this is an EBAY USA board, and the policies these members are aware of and work with are American policies, not European policies.
In the USA, the GSP is ONLY for outgoing shipment. If a buyer filed a return, GSP would not be involved in any way. GSP has never been a return or facilitated returns (at least in the USA). So the seller would have to provide a label. If the item was more than $750 then signature confirmation would be required on the return label for the member to be eligible for a refund. That being said, I have never shipped to France, and I've never had a counterfeit or fake claim.
