Could Someone from eBay please respond to my Item Spec. questions?

1st ~ Why are you requiring me to add "Record" to the IS "Format" when the item is already listed in the "Vinyl Records" category and the word "Record" is already used in various IS in the listing (ie Record Label, Record Size, Record Grading) ? 

Currently you're requiring that for 600+ listings that I have.. but that number grows every time I check.

2nd ~ You're requiring me to add the "Album Name" to my 45rpm listings. Most 45s use a "Song Title" (A-side / B-Side) not an "Album Name" unless it's an Extended Play or Punk/Metal or such. 

However, some 45s have songs that are taken from a specific "Album". So, do I list the "Album Name" or the "Song Title" which might not be the name associated with the item I'm selling?  

45rpm For Example:  Watts 3rd Street Rhythm Band ~ Do Your Thing / A Dance, A Kiss And A Song.   They both come from the Album Named "Together"  

Sooo tell me, what do I put in the "Album Name" IS???????????????

I'm now up to 880 listings that need "Required Item Specifics" .... because I don't have Record in my "Format" or "Album Name" when 45s don't have EFFN ALBUM NAMES!

But we have a new listing tool. Another NEW listing tool. I heard they are working on an even new listing tool (immediately, after this one). It's in the works. It's going to require you to take down all of your listings and re-post them. They will also be charging 30 cents per re-listing.

I understand the redundancy,  pointed that out last night that in my example they are forcing buyers to jump through too many hoops and over too many piles to get to what they're looking for.  I would just call the album the name of the a-side of the 45.  I won't dare get cute with condition.  You can sell a sealed album that has flaws.  I just say any record I list is scratched.  Sold for ashtrays. 😄

I'm in the same boat, I sell 45's, LP's, CD's and the recommended item specifics list grows every hour, now even my sports cards are adding on to this pile, over 1 thousand listings, it'll take me a year to figure it all out, I did notice that for the vinyl, I check off "record" and then go str8 to the "don't remind me of these specs" and check that off and go on, I will assume that these are "recommended" spec additions and not mandatory additions needed for the listings.

Format = "Record" is required. Which is strange because the listing are in "RECORDS" why doesn't this just self-populate?!?

I have found repeatedly that they do not retain IT Systems Analysts who would deliver this sort of no-brainer and save us associated work.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat selling vinyl in here for 21 years. The new specifics are absolutely absurd.
And, when they added all these unnecessary specifics to my 'work' about 3 days ago, my new listings now have much LESS in them because I'm not going to sift through this ridiculous list of new specifics for an extra two minutes a listing. What a waste of my precious time.

My biggest gripe is the vinyl 'condition' drop down. The "enter your own" has now been removed.
Some of my conditions are "mint minus to near mint" or "VG++ to mint minus" or "Side one: VG++ / Side two: Near mint", but now I can no longer enter those......so now...I'm leaving them BLANK!

It's absolutely clear that idle employees who MAKE these changes have NEVER EVER sold an actual item that in the category they are changing.

I griped years ago about 'NEAR MINT' and 'MINT MINUS' are simply NOT the same grading and should NOT be listed together in any way shape or form on this site. What gives them the right to assume this to begin with?

Because the people making the decisions at this company have to be some of the biggest imbeciles ever to grace the earth ... item specifics ... what a total disaster ... add that to the seller hub... the new Ebay Seller page, the end of classic view ... the fee increases....trying to do your taxes & find out what you made .. and just now I find out that now you have to wait five days to put in an unpaid item dispute .. it was a couple days. .. .......... The hits just keep on coming ... ............. item specifics - every time I put Mono in the title line they make that the name of the artist ... every time I put Live .. they make that the name of the artist ... I have to constantly go back and change what Ebay

puts in with yet another time wasting innovation ... you ask why .. so do I ... I ask how in the world can grown up people running a major corporation be so utterly stupid ...
