Constant glitches on listing pages with drop down item specific boxes. .

One glitch I constantly see is the age or date of the item. The drop down boxes often stop at the year 1900 so if my item is from 1885 there is no date for that and eBay won't allow me to type in 1885. Also, there are constant drop down boxes that try to get me to choose an item that has nothing to do with what I'm selling and won't allow me to type in the correct choice.

Fortunately not dealing with the age issues you are, but you are correct about other drop-down box issues.  Was tedious before on Item Specifics, but now just futile.

Work around, Work around, Work around.

Item specifics are used, by buyers, to 'help' them hone down their search 'keyword' results. 

If there is something that 'specifics' wants you to choose that "NOBODY" would ever use anyway, best to just 'pick something' and move on.
