Will we be able to lodge complaints at this upcoming forum? Several seller friends and I can't believe Ebay advertises on our sites (that we 'pay to rent') and that they confuse buyers with their 'suggested retail price". A $2,000 painting by a well known listed artist does NOT sell for $75.00!

They pay also just like you to advertise. If you put an ad in the paper do you call the paper and complain others are also selling something ? NO, Ebay is not going to hear your complaints. That is not what the forum is about.

I think it may be more advantageous for you to contact ebay outside of the forum to provide criticism & unsolicited advice.

Ebay (you), obviously, monitors this forum. And, what about their ignorant 'suggested retail prices.' RIDICULOUS.

A question is NOT "advice", thanks.

"Upcoming forum"?
Are you referring to ebay Open in September, or are you referring to tomorrow's Monthly Chat, which is focused on Shipping, not on issues revolving around suggested retail price. However, you can post whatever you like in the Monthly Chat--they might take it down if they classify it was off topic, or they might respond. Or they might ignore it, which they sometimes do even with posts that are on topic.

eBay has been selling advertising in every one of your listings and mine for years. That will not change.
Where are you finding the pricing suggestions? In Terapeek and/or in the listing tool? Why is that a problem? Does one really expect it to be accurate to everyone's liking?

It's a little conflicting, right? When the seller sets a accurate price on the auction page and Ebay's throwing in a generic blanket price that doesn't even apply to the listed item. ...Some of us have been in the business for years, and don't need Ebay's help communicating with buyers.

what 'upcoming' forum? Is there a 'new' forum coming?
Are you talking about ebay 'suggesting' a price for you? either when you list, or when it's been sitting there forever or...
that the site has 10,000 others of the same and their price is lower?
Or are you talking about 'other listings' shown on your listing, that may show the items being sold by others at a 'lower' price??
It's just not clear what exactly you are complaining about....

Where is this suggested retail price? I don't see it on your listings? I don't see it on mine.
Are you talking about the often wildly incorrect price suggestion that ebay shows you and only you when you are making a listing? The customers don't see that.

When someone from eBay posts, you will know it. They are identified as eBay employees and their posts are surrounded by blue. Everyone else, and I mean everyone else, is a buyer or seller just like you.

How about Ebay's general involvement on our sites? I don't think I was being vague...suggested prices that are contrary to the author's educated offering...yes, and rows of similar items to divert from the page.

Oh, probably...sorry. I thought it was visible to all. I think we should be able to opt for this service. They are generally coming from left field.
