So recently i noticed a Seller from Mainland China selling an ATV part on Amazon for 400 dollars
where his main sales are.
The same Seller has a Co. Website where he sells the same part for 450 dollars
The same Seller has an Ebay page where he sells the same part for 300 dollars
The same Seller has Direct from China Pricing on Temu and AlieExpress where he sells the same part for 100 dollars.
It seems to me these Greedy Chinese just don't understand how to stop. They are even trying to undercut
pricing so low that 2nd hand, open box new, and as is items can't be sold anymore.
These people are nasty for having such a pricing structure. This isn't business, They treat it as if this were War.

Like American business isn't ruthless? Ever seen what a company like Starbucks does to its competition?

Indeed you are correct but not making a broad enough statement.
Sellers on online marketplaces cannot compete unless they are getting the best price for anything they buy. There are few opportunities for value added with most products online, so competition on price and flawed reviews and FB is all that remains.
This is part of why so many sellers complain about Ebay fees, they are paying more than their competition and the difference in cost makes it too hard for them to price at market levels after paying Ebay for housing their stores.

That's exactly why I reduced the amount of Chinese made items in our store and increased the amount of American made products. This month, I'm going to be adding back many of our Italian made items, that I took off last year due to our construction and move. I wish I could move away from their manufacturing items altogether, but my one distributor seems to get everything from them and they are popular products (like holy water bottles).

Tariffs are good if they drive manufacturing companies back to the USA. They are also good in leveling the playing field. Time to sacrifice a little and get tough. If we don't we will keep getting s_____d.

holy water bottles
I know that's a devotional item to carry blessed water, but the first thing I thought of was like a bike or running water bottle with *special* attributes - maybe to squeak out a faster pace in that half-marathon or bike race. Where do I get one of those lol - I need the help! 😆

You tiptoe, you be nice, you accept blame that's not yours, you apologize for USPS/FedEx,/UPS, you must be dumber than your customer at the right time, you must be smarter at the right time...And then you be even nicer again.
It's basically impossible to convince somebody to buy something from you, if they think they already know better.
When it comes to ATV stuff, most of your customers are kids. Most are at that age where they know everything.
You don't have to get their money this time.
You do all that so that there can be a next time.

I guess I must not be a good salesman then.
I have spent a lifetime selling very high ticket items ... over $100k. Some over $1M.
I always spoke plainly with my clients.
Some got offended; can't please everybody.
But, MOST appreciated the honesty -- even if I was wrong.
I do the same with my two-buck pieces of plastic.
It's just part of my DNA, I guess.

I had an almost identical thought, which was immediately followed by "I wonder how they make them holy? Is it some sort of blessing like rabbis do to make cookware kosher?" 🤔
I'm a heathen...

Not to mention, they can list brand new, fresh-off-the-boat items as "vintage" and "antique". The sellers who do that have made those words moot.

Holy water is blessed by a Catholic priest.
It's not 'Kosher Water', it is Holy Water.

Also, a survivor of Parochial School, and not kosher.

Yes, I know. I was just responding to chapeau-noir who had a similar thought. I reflexively thought of the bottle, rather than the contents.
I too survived parochial school, though it was Greek Orthodox (no, I'm not Greek Orthodox, just went to school during busing in the 70s and my mother wasn't having any of that). Still scarred to this day.

Walmart is reported to be busy trying to get their overseas (mostly in China) suppliers to absorb the tariff increases and so far mostly being met with a resounding push back of no way. They are already well known for extracting the lowest possible price from their suppliers.

I seen a listing a few years ago for a rare, antique item.
They had 300+ of the rare, antique items in stock and already sold around 30 of the rare item.

Wu Han? I hear they like to ship things globally. 😷
