Welcome to our first engagement post of 2021! We plan to post a fun off-topic thread every two weeks so we can learn more about one another. After two weeks, we’ll post a new fun topic.
Our first topic is pets (how could it be anything else?) 😀 We know we have a lot of avid pet owners and it certainly brightens our days to see you share stories and pictures about them.
This is your chance to tell us all about your pets’ quirks, personalities and most importantly, sharing lots of pictures. We want to see those cute little faces.
As always please keep the conversation on topic and be respectful of each other. This thread will remain open from 1.29.2020 to 2.11.2021.

This is Chloe. She is a Boxer/Golden Retriever mix. She had a very rough start. She was left at our local animal control center at around 3- 4 months old. She was adopted fairly quickly and then returned within a week. She was again adopted right away, only to be returned once again. She remained at the animal control facility, without another adoption until she was 7 months old.
A friend of ours adopted Chloe at age 7 months. Chloe stayed with her new family for a little over a year. She was more than a handful. She was both dog and people aggressive. She bit a neighborhood boy in the face and then less than a week later sent a neighbor's dog to the vet after an attack. She was on the verge of euthanasia when we received a late night call pleading for help.
Well, we are no experts on dogs, but could not turn down the call fore help. Chloe came into our lives very early the following morning. That was 7 yrs ago. It was a very difficult road to bring out the fun loving, trusting, ready to work dog that is Chloe...and here she is

Cassie (tux) and Jamie (fluffy one): Sisters from the same litter: Here they're about 12 years old.
Jamie being a complete mess:
We lost Cassie last year and Jamie is now 19.
ETA: They are both rescue cats.
Bless you @mcdougle4248 for your patience to bring the true dog out in Chloe!

Hello and thank you for having this wonderful community thread!
Introducing Millie and Stella. Both of these sweeties are two and a half years old.
Millie is my granddoger and Stella is my little girl.
They play, eat and sleep together and make me smile every time I look at them.

My boys, Phineas on top, McCoy on bottom. 12 1/2 years old, Seal Point Siamese and Chocolate point. They have a rescue feral fat fat calico sister named Mrs. Pennington who is about 4 years old now.
The 3 of us have been alone in Covid for a year, they are my little saviors and keep me from completely losing my mind in a lonely world of high risk 🙂
I love them dearly.

Here is a story for you....Years ago we had a cat that could be a twin to yours. His name was Elvis. He went missing. My husband and I walked around our neighborhood while I was shouting ELVIS! ELVIS! Luckily I was much younger, so senility was not the first thought of those that looked at me as if I was nuts!!!
1978... 😞

Unfortunately, Elvis was never found....😞
It was a week of hope, walking around and putting up posters with a not so happy ending.
Thank you for sharing and asking.
