I just found that eBay is very strict for sellers. If someone reports about the copyrighted product on his account, I have a few important questions to be a good seller on eBay. my first question is how we can know which products have copyright infringements.
===========================================
My second question is. I have studied eBay VeRO Program carefully. https: www.ebay.com/sellercenter/ebay-for-business/verified-rights-owner-program I found a lot of VeRO participants who all have copyrighted products that no one can list without their consent. My question is only these listed VeRO participants can claim copyright or also there are other than those brands/people who can also claim if their logo or brand name is get used mistakenly? ============================================

@jackets-shop wrote:Appreciated. But this design is from me I'm just using the 8ball name, it's not by Michael Hoban, I designed this in my factory. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404039679425
do you still think I should take off? even it's designed by us. and we are not using Micheal hoban name,
You cannot use it and should take down the listings immediately. You "designed" it by copying someone else's work and using its likeness. The slight modifications don't make it yours.

I don't know what part of using copyrighted terms is forbidden, illegal etc. etc. you are not getting. Of course the 8ball name is associated with Michael Hoban. STOP DOING THAT

I have taken permission from a seller on eBay.
is that permission enough?
In a word NO!

By the way @jackets-shop - posters here are being so blunt because it's a clear-cut law. They are trying to help you avoid not only losing your eBay account, but potential lawsuits. It's good that you came here to ask. I think by now you realize the answer to your question is a solid and unquestionable: no.
You can't design something based off of someone else's copyrighted/trademarked work and call it your own.

I see that you've taken down those 8ball jackets. Great decision.
I respect that you want to do things right and came here to get clarification on policy & the law when you were unsure, then took our advice seriously. 👍

Quite a puzzler. I was so curious that I went to the 'LEATHERADI' website. There, they boast real leather. 🐄

I have a Bible somewhere with a cover that's "genuine leatherette". It's a nice cover I guess, but must have come from an awful weird cow...

Most of the OP's listings (varsity jackets) are leather. That jacket is faux leather - PU (polyurethane) to be specific according to the item specifics.

But we can use the city name "New York" as text, as an image, or as a logo, or New York's flag or eagle on clothing in form of printing, or embroidery?

Just to take this over a little, as I have a question on NAME BRAND clothing I have (NWT)...
Can I go to the name brand's website and use their photos? Just as the main photo and use my own photos for the balance of the listing? I really don't want to, and it sounds like I can't, but just making sure...

No you can not. The company owns the only rights to the photos they took. You did not purchase the rights to use their photo.

So you DO produce all items ?
The Depeche Mode Jacket is your own product?
YOU can't use Depeche Mode on your own productions.
