My assistant recently listed some ladies clothing in our eBay store and did not notice that the listing template that she used went into eBay motors. These clothing listings are not eBay motors appropriate but they did go up on line. When we caught the error we tried to change the eBay category to an appropriate clothing category with all of the appropriate details entered. We keep getting a notice when submitting the change that says the category is wrong for this item, We have change categories and get the same response. Then we tried to do a "sell similar" listing and changing the category and detail prior to submitting the new listing, Tha too was denied due to "wrong category".
What's up with this problem?
BTW, we added a second category to the listing in eBay motors for $0.10 and it took it. However, we would like to just have in listed in the correct category and not pay $0.10 a month additional.

Can you cancel the listing and just relist the item in the appropriate category?

Sell similar should work then and it does not even with the corrections upfront.

I do not think you can revise the category you chose when listing.

just changed categories on an active listing........ assuming the listings aren't auctions with bids, OP should be able to revise them........
