Woke up this morning to a sale...yay! But noticed that I will lose money on calculated shipping. Is this a new Ebay change in calculation? I checked my settings and nothing seems awry. I am Top Rated and did not send an invoice for this sale. Anyone one else experiencing this?

Everything in your screenshot is working as it should. No changes have taken place. The discount on Priority shipping has always been a big range. In your example it's on the smaller end of the range.
Your buyer was charged retail and you are being charged commercial. This is a link to the USPS price list where you can compare retail vs commercial pricing. If you have listings where the discount will not make up the eBay fees then add a small handling fee or increase your item price.

Did you forget that Ebay takes their final value fee from shipping?

Yes we know there if fvf’s on shipping.
Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

My question was clear in the first post. Just wondering if sellers using calculated shipping noticed a recent change in calculations? This example is not a large loss but my shipping tends to get pricey and the FVF adds up.

Do you have your preferences set to charge retail to the buyer rather than online pricing? That usually takes care of the fvf for me.

That's not new. Where are you seeing a change in calculation?
Are you perhaps referring to the fact that the discount for some priority mail services is much smaller since the last postal increase? That too has been a few months, at least.

I haven't changed my settings which is why I wondered if this was an unannounced Ebay change. When I checked I did not see an online vs retail option. Can you let me know where that option is located. Thanks so much for your response.

Thanks. I think inthewoods nailed it. Usually the buyer is charged retail rather than online price which pays the FVF. I didn't change my settings, so just wondering if this is an Ebay change.

It is under site preferences, then shipping preferences, and you can check off to pass on discounts to buyers or not under carrier specific discounts.

I am apparently still lost.
It looks to me like your buyer was indeed charged the $7.25 Retail price, and you paid the (whopping) discount price of $6.89.

Thanks bean. I went back through my label history and the lighter, closer proximity package discount does not make up for the FVF charge. Most of my packages are heavier and ship longer distances thus have the greater discount. Another cup of coffee for me. Thanks for the replies everyone.
