Hey Gang,
If I cancel a buyer's order for bad address, can they leave feedback ?
Their feedback left for others is REALLY messed up, don't want to deal with them.
I plan on adding them to BBL, which I should probably do first.
It's very much a TR status protection thing, do not need educated on how wrong it is, etc.
Thanks for your input.

Unless it has changed recently, yes they can.

yes they can leave feedback. It is not obvious where the link is to the buyer for said feedback BUT there is a backdoor way to do it.

BBL first, always. Then do whatever it is, etc.
You can report your buyer for any violation, but do it before you cancel an order.
Without knowing more about your transaction concerns, hard to advise on the cancellation or if it should occur. Purchase is from a serial neg-Buyer?

Customer will be **bleep** that you cancelled order and leave negative feedback. Better to just ship their item.

I'm not going to lecture, but keep in mind that feedback isn't a criteria for qualifying as TRS, but out of stock cancellations (if your false reason of the address is reported) is one of the biggest criteria.

Kind of a "Catch-22", buyer has negged every transaction they've been involved with.

Kinda depends on how you look at it. Not so sure that I would cancel BUT, they are wanting to cancel due to
"Problem with buyers address".
The buyer at that address leaves everyone negative feedback. That is a problem, and it is at that address so....

I never check buyers feedback, received or left, if they pay I ship.
Maybe the buyer has run into some bad sellers before?

that is my kind of logic for sure
I remember one time using the "poor buyer metrics" in a response one time for something
that is just ebay speak...before I started selling on ebay I woud have absolutely no use for the word "metrics"
some of the phrases used with ebay are too wordy for me so I used it with a buyer
I am sure the buyer was wondering what I was talking about...................that was my goal

Maybe reach out to e-Bay CS on social media.
You never know - they might assist you with cancelling the order.
When you message them, give them the trans #, your selling ID and phone number to call you. If it is as bad as you state, they need to escalate this Buyer for abuse anyway.

This is Ebay, a buyer can literally buy something from you, tell you to go **bleep** yourself, threaten your family and anyone else you know, and then you can cancel the transaction and they can still leave you feedback and ebay will do absolutely nothing.
No website on this planet treats sellers worse, or gives sellers less rights than Ebay.

Okay, here's the full deal:
Buyer bought a Super Treasure Hunt Hot Wheel (rare, valuable) from me for BIN 34.99
Buyer also sells these items for around same price, so not buying to resell.
Buyer has left neg feedback for every seller they've bought from. Items bought are Hot Wheels.
I kind of got the idea that buyer is making a business of getting refunded for these items, not returning them, and then selling them.
Wouldn't you think so ?
Something hanky is going on anyway, something I do not want to get involved in.

If the buyer leaves you a Neg, contact ebay and let them know that the buyer is a competitor and is leaving their competitors a Neg in order to interfere with their business.
