Hey Gang,
If I cancel a buyer's order for bad address, can they leave feedback ?
Their feedback left for others is REALLY messed up, don't want to deal with them.
I plan on adding them to BBL, which I should probably do first.
It's very much a TR status protection thing, do not need educated on how wrong it is, etc.
Thanks for your input.

Buyer bought a Super Treasure Hunt Hot Wheel (rare, valuable) from me for BIN 34.99
Buyer also sells these items for around same price, so not buying to resell.
Buyer has left neg feedback for every seller they've bought from. Items bought are Hot Wheels.
I kind of got the idea that buyer is making a business of getting refunded for these items, not returning them, and then selling them.
Wouldn't you think so ?
Something hanky is going on anyway, something I do not want to get involved in.
That is plenty of cause for pause for any seller. However you are NOT above the rules. You do NOT have a legit reason to cancel the order and to lie and select it as a buyer issue is not only wrong, it is against the rules. I realize you don't want anyone to actually state these facts to you, but that is your issue not anyone else.
Now, your job is to honor the purchase contract. If it come to the point that after the buyer receives the item they leave you a negative FB, you have plenty of information from their FB history that they abuse the system and you should be able to get the FB removed for buyer abuse and likely get the buyer sanctioned.
That is the way to handle this. You may not like it, but you are then operating within the rules for all of us sellers and not breaching them which can be dangerous as the buyer could report you. Likely doing you some harm that you are trying to avoid.
The negative FB will NOT affect your TRS, but filing false Cancellations sure can.
Your choice of course.

bingo.
A strange way to try and justify filing a cancellation for an invalid reason for this specific transaction.

If they already bought and paid for the item it is too late to cancel this transaction unless there is actually something wrong with their shipping address. You can put them on your BBL to avoid having them buy something from you again, but don't lie about their address being bad on this transaction.

Alas! That is not quite how it works.

Are you openly admitting here to your buyer, to us, and to Ebay that you are going to lie and use an excuse to not sell to a paying customer because of a bad address ?

Well, are you sure they have left negative for "every seller" or just the ones they have had problems with - just not bothering to leave feedback for those that went well.
AND if you cancel for "something is wrong with address" and in fact there is nothing wrong with the address eBay will crack YOUR knuckles. False claims are a no no regardless of who does them.
And if you follow procedure it us pretty much impossible to get a refund without returning. When he files a return claim be sure to answer to it and send him the return label. Don't just ignore it. That is what gets you in trouble refundwise. No return, no refund.
And for those who will come on and say you had to issue a refund without the buyer returning it, I suggest it was because you did not follow proper procedure. Never happened to me.

I shipped it and put them on BBL.....we'll see what happens.
The transaction will probably play out without them even knowing they've been blocked, I just won't have to deal with them again.

That is a much better decision.
