Short version:
1. I don't understand the .40 charge.
2. I don't understand why they are asking me to link another payment to make the .40 payment when I already have Venmo linked to my account and never had a problem. It's still linked as I write this.
Longer version: So I've never had to cancel a sale before but I'm forced to for reasons beyond my control. Here's where I'm at....
Review refund
Purchase price | $450.00 |
Shipping | $28.80 |
Fee credits | -$68.06 |

Thanks, I spoke with ebay CS on the phone. They said the problem is on the issuing cards end, i.e., that my cards info is not up to date. Of course this is not the case, I knew that but investigated further. I just got off chat and the phone with my credit cards CS and they went over everything with a fine tooth comb and held my hand while I entered the cards info on ebay (all the info I submitted is up to date.. and the same as it's always been) but I get " We couldn't verify your updated details. Please review them and try again" message.
The only other card I have is Amex and ebay does not accept Amex any longer, so that leaves my buyer thinking I'm a dirtbag, because I have no way, at the present to give her her money back. I did contact her via ebay messages but she has not responded yet.

On another thread.......someone postulated that you can't use a cc for a refund.......has to be a bank account....... I don't know whether that's true or not, but have you tried refunding from the bank account?

That's not the case. You can use credit cards, but I tried my debit card too and although it goes through and gets listed under "My Account" as the "preferred payment for sellers fees", it too doesn't show up for me to choose when trying to send the refund. So I know it's not my cards. Ebay called me back and said my info is not up to date on my card/s/ That is not the case at all. There is nothing to update on either card, it's all current. Just to make sure I called both my cc company and bank and all info is up to date. Very frustrating. This buyer is going to think I'm some dirtbag, lol. Thanks for the help.

I understand that you have had an account since 2015, but you have sold only a few things over the past Decade. That is why I posted information for a infrequent seller. I did not mean any slight or offense to you.

I did not take offense at all. Truth be known I only sell around a dozen or so items a year these days. Most people just don't seem to leave feedback anymore. I read somewhere (don't remember where so don't quote me) that only about 25% of buyers bother to even leave feedback anymore.

That is something I've posted many times about my experience with buyers leaving feedback.
