Re: Can you block block a buyer?

No, you can't block buyers with no feedback.

You can add the member to your blocked buyers list here

Re: Can you block block a buyer?

NOT All 0 Feedback buyers are a problem, most are pretty cool, unless you know, you **bleep** off someone with a 1000 Buyer Feedback and they decided to make a new account to purchase the item that you originally blocked them from, then its a problem. Oh ya, they will do this. If youre lucky, you just send the item to the 0 Feedback buyers address, and it will be all good......unless of course, you know.....you had previously blocked a buyer from buying that high value item from yourself earlier, from the exact same location, then you know....you can go ahead and.....tell ebay about it, which....most likely...they wont do Shi* about...but hey...take that chance seller warrior, take that chance.

No, you can't block a 0 feedback bidder.

But could you imagine if you could and every seller did.

There would be no new buyers on ebay.

Re: Can you block block a buyer?

One could make a case for eBay needing to be more diligent in vetting 'new' accounts, since they pop up like mushrooms, but that goes against their buyer centric view. Fortunately, most are fine.

Re: Can you block block a buyer?

You used to be able to search other ID's used by the same buyer.  I don't think that you can't do that anymore, but sometimes a call to eBay Customer Service will give you other ID's used by the buyer.  I haven't tried it in the last couple of years, but it's worth a try if you are uncomfortable with this sale.

Re: Can you block block a buyer?

Yes. You should also watch who bids on the item everyday in case the bidder gets a new ID.

I wouldn't cancel bids...just block bidder from future bids.

I used to do auctions. Some who give advice probably have not recently sold any auctions or sold anything for that matter lately.

It's not a buy now item I am talking about.

Auctions once they end...a bidder can sometimes take forever to pay or never pays and then auction has to be done again. I prefer someone with previous purchases and some experience in paying....that is from my experience. I feel a "new" buyer should buy inexpensive items first to understand the process of how eBay works.

@bigyellowdog2012

A buyer with no feedback wants to take a chance with an infrequent seller.

Seems like both will need to trust.

As a rule, don’t list anything you can’t afford to lose and the time to wonder about potential buyers is BEFORE the item is listed.
