Did you mean:

Can't list because "your listing included a shortened url."

What do they mean by this message: We’ve noticed that your listing included a shortened URL. eBay no longer permits shortened URLs (e.g. bitly or tinyurl) in item descriptions, payment instructions, return instructions, etc, regardless of where they link to. Please remove any shortened URL's from your listing.

I can't find anything in my listing that looks like a shortened url. But then I don't know what a shortened url is.

Please help!

I found a reply to my query. I took out all the periods as one of them was triggering eBay to think it was part of a shortened url. So I got it listed.

It's not the presence of a period that was triggering eBay to think it was part of a shortened URL; it was the absence of a space following the period that was the problem. That would cause the last word of one sentence to butt up against the first word of the next sentence, making it resemble a URL. Your text will be fine with periods as long as you have a space separator before the next word.

It's possible that one escaped your notice if the period happened to end the line, and the screen display automatically line-wrapped to begin the next sentence on a new line, even though there was no space following that period.

The $105 includes insurance coverage for the amount of the sale. Blame the insurer, not me.
