Can't figure out this discrepancy about IPR

I was just about to do a bulk send-out of offers for eligible listings, when I noticed that some of them have this blue exclamation mark in the 'Status' column of the bulk edit screen.  When I click on it, it says:

7AE03A0F-802C-4500-AF5C-4F94608FACCA_1_201_a.jpeg

What I can't figure out is why this alert is there for only some of these listings.   As far as I know, it should be there for all 15 of them, because I have the IPR requirement turned OFF in my settings, so as to avoid the whole auto-charge issue.   So to my knowledge that should mean that any item I sell via offers (whether buyers make them and I accept, or I make them and they accept) should give them the same 4 days to pay as ever before, and regardless of what listing it is.

Now for a moment I thought I could see one pattern: the ones WITH the '!' are single items, and the ones without it are in the category Jewelry>Vintage>Collections & Lots.  But alas, even that apparent rule has an exception: a silver bullion coin, which is a single item, and does not have the '!'.

Other than category, I can't think of anything else that distinguishes these listings from one another.  So does anyone know what explanation there could be for this discrepancy?

Also, what am I to make of the ones without the '!' ?  -Would those auto-charge my buyers, thereby overriding my preference setting?????

Sounds like you are confusing 2 completely different settings.

IPR (immediate payment required) is something you set up at the listing level (or on biz policies for those using policies). It applies only to fixed price listings and it's ignored when offers come into play. That's the blue info box you're seeing.

Auto-pay for offers is a buyer requirement setting and something you set up on your buyer requirements page. That applies exclusively to offers.

There are inconsistent alerts.

It's better just to understand how things work than rely on those listing alerts.

IPR doesn't apply to offers or auctions, unless buy it now is used.

IPR is adjusted directly on listing or in payment business policy.

Auto pay is adjusted in site preferences > manage who can buy from you.

Aha!!!  -See I actually did know the difference, but the wording in that text bubble, the part about "If this item sells by Best Offer" -that made me think it was just about the offer scenario, whereas otherwise a buyer WOULD have to pay immediately, if they just did BIN.

Because I always have IPR check-marked for BIN.
ALWAYS!
But ...... just to make sure, I opened up one of these mixed lot listings for revision, and .......

🤣
I made all these in the past few days, and for each of them I just piggybacked them from an old Sold mixed lot listing, using 'Sell Similar.'   But the reason I didn't even check the IPR box is because I really do ALWAYS have that check-marked.  So now the mystery is why that was not carried over to new listings using Sell Similar.

Now I guess I have to open alllll my listings up for revision to see which all ones do or don't have the dang box checked.  So irritating.

But thanks @wastingtime101 and @robbie31415  -I'm not surprised the 2 of you were quick to help.

Nope.

From seller hub active listings page.

Edit button > Edit all listings.

Now you're in the bulk editor.

Check box at top to select all listings.

Then top right left of screen, bulk edit button.

From the drop down you should see a Payments selection. From there you can bulk-enable IPR.

After the pop up is saved/closed, do not forget to submit all on the bottom right of the bulk edit page before closing.

Also - biz policies make this stuff so much easier to manage, but I suggest waiting until after the holidays before looking into that (if you're even interested).

Thank you I will do this^.
But guess what?  -Now I don't even know if this is fully resolved, because remember how that one silver bullion coin did NOT have the '!'?  Well look, it DID have IPR check-marked.   None of the mixed lots did, and I've already fixed them, but here's this goofy sucker.

I have 1000s of listings. Some get the !

Alert and some don't. All have same business policy.

I just ignore the inconsistency.
