eBay Stores Questions

I have been selling as an personal account for over a year and have sold over 70 items.

I'm considering moving to a Store account, but am not certain of the impact on previous sales/customers.

So I have a few questions:

1. Will my eBay Seller ratings transfer and show up in my Store account?

2. Will my previous Number of Items Sold and Followers show up in my Store Account?

3. Will I be able to reach (message) my previous customers through my Store Account?

I appreciate any input or guidance with this. I've been selling successfully and don't want to blow things up. Trying to weight the benefits and drawbacks of moving to a Store.  Thanks, Mike

Unless you have approx 300+ listings, subscribing to a store is not worth it unless you're desperate to access features like running sales.

But to answer your questions:

1. Yes

2. Yes

3. Yes

eBay Stores Questions

When you subscribe to having a store you are adding to your existing account. Any items you have listed will automatically go into your store. Everything you have now, feedback followers will remain the same as well as the ability to message your buyer.
Again, just emphasize, You are simply adding a store to your existing account, not opening a new account.
Subscribing to stores will not increase your monthly selling limits.
Your account will still be a personal account.

eBay Stores Questions

As noted: yes, yes, yes.

As noted: your account would still be a personal account and a store subscription would have no effect on your listing limits, which you can check here:

Think of a store as a subscription that gets you lower final value fees and more free insertions (except for the Starter level), and some handy management tools.  With such a small number of listings, I don't understand why you would be considering a store subscription since it would not be cost-effective yet.  Scale up first, then consider a store's potential benefits.

eBay Stores Questions

I used to sell full-time with a premium store and I've never had anything more than a personal account.

A store isn't a big deal - it just gives you some perks as above and a bit of a footprint. I wouldn't bother, though unless you're going to be carrying more than 250 items, unless you're like me and have had a store for so long that your customers look for it.

Thanks for your input.  It sounds like you don't think there is much value in running sales.

I'm curious as to why?

I do think there's value to running sales, but with only 50 listings, mostly for CDs, the cost of a store may outweigh any benefit to running sales. You can try seller initiated offers for free and see if that helps.
