Customer service can't get much worse. Took a package to UPS in my town today, There's only 1 UPS provider here. They weren't taking packages because their computer was down. I could drop it off, but it won't be scanned until tomorrow. So, my choice is to drive round trip 40 miles to get it sent off today or take a ding on my Topm Seller metrics. I'm going to have to take the ding. I hope I'll still be below 3% late. I'm at .19 now.

This is exactly why I have a 3-day shipping time even though I generally ship the next day.

I have two day handling just to cover situations like that. The pittance I save on fees isn't worth the expense of maintaining top seller plus on anything.
Still - that's a frustrating situation!

Too bad the driver had already picked up there or they would have scanned when picked up.

As others noted, just another good reason to have 3-day shipping. Most of my sales get shipped out in one day and that leads to great feedback relative to shipping. It also relieves the stress of always getting an item out the next day regardless of circumstances that are often beyond my control.
