Is there any reason why buyers don't leave feedback? So far I've sold 5 things and each time the buyer was nice and got what they bought, but never left feedback. I always leave feedback when somebody buys from me.

You might want to read up on the policy regarding digital delivery.

Feedback is optional, not mandatory. You will find that less than 50% of buyers leave feedback. @albertabrightalberta is correct. You are in violation.

One of my best buyers has ordered dozens of items from me -- but has not ONCE left me feedback.
Doesn't bother me bit one.

Maybe they actually didn’t like what they received but are too nice to leave a bad feedback.

The best way to build feedback is to buy, not to sell.
Since you imply you have a buying account already, I would encourage you to use it as your selling account and switch the listings on this account to that one.
Or do some buying on this one , checking the seller's FB to see that they do leave it.
Leaving feedback on shipment is in my opinion one of the best ways to get feedback on delivery.
I use Lettermail, untracked, for much of my shipping, which basically puts me in the same position as a seller of digital goods, since neither of us can ever prove delivery.
I leave feedback on shipment, including the date of shipment, which also helps me find the transaction if there is a problem.
Even so, I only get about 40% reciprocal FB.

@rbxaccounts Looks like you are a new seller as of 11/24/2024. You have sold 3 items between Dec 12 - 14. Buyers have time to provide FB there is no rush especially if it was a gift for some one and it is strictly an voluntary exercise. for buyers/sellers to do so.
Looks like you first need to closely evaluate what items you are selling on the eBay site -before no FB could be the least of your issues.

All the feedback in world as a buyer and a nickle won't buy you a cup of coffee - except in Wall Drugs, Wall, South Dakota and here is where you put that nickle on the honor system. Did it in 1976 in the June & the price is still a nickel
And if you go there in the winter you can enjoy your coffee and read the local rage in a place like this

You will receive feedback with the new automated feedback for sellers with less than 10 feedbacks as long as the transactions were completed successfully.
Here is the policy:

Whatever you do, don't ever ask a buyer for feedback. Some buyers have been known to leave a neutral or negative for the simple reason that a seller asked for feedback and the buyer considers this harassment.
If you don't receive feedback, consider that the transaction is good and the buyer is okay with it.

Feedback is optional, not a mandate. Many purchasers today just want their 'stuff', & forget about the fb. Yes, as a seller, you most likely do leave fb for your sale. I do as well. In reality, it is far better to receive -0- feedback from a purchaser than a Neutral or Negative for some ridiculous reason on a product they received from you. Some clients leave fb for me, some don't, and I'm ok with that, they still receive fb on an item when delivered.

Less than 50%? It’s far less than that:
Last 14 transactions 1 feedback left
Last 9 transactions prior 1 feedback left
Last 3 transactions prior to that 1 feedback left
Last 14 transactions before that one, 1 left
Last 8 transactions before that, 1 was left
Over time some of these numbers may improve, but the amount of buyers leaving feedback nowadays is decreasing exponentially.

I sold here in the 90's full time, then returned to college to finish up, had to start over here as I had not 'logged in for over a year' I was told; here I am. Back then not uncommon for a customer to routinely leave fb, now it's a hit and miss. Your stats are interesting, I should probably take some time and study mine. Thanks!!

I just checked our sales from earlier this year (I picked a 3 month period long enough ago that anyone who would leave feedback would have), and we got feedback from about 36% of our orders.
