I sold a game console and the buyer requested I send him the cords for it. In my listing it was stated it was for the console only and the photo only includes a console. He messaged me asking for cords and I told him the listing did not include cords. He then proceeded to leave me negative feedback stating the listing didn't come with cords.
Can I get this removed? Thanks.

It is always best to include the cords. When you say console only it is usually interpreted as you get no joystick, games, manuals etc. Most everyone in the world assumes cords are part of the console. Especially since you mentioned it works and has a 30 day guarantee.

You have included the UPC code in the listing, when you do that you have to supply what the item originally came with. If a power cord is included, you have to supply it, if you don't have it, don't include the UPC code in the listing, and make it clear in the description that there is no power cord.

If I saw the words "console only," I know that I would not interpret that to mean that the cords were not included, as I have bought many used video game consoles from many different sources and they always, always included all necessary cords.
Is that what the buyer thought should have been included? Sounds reasonable, but it could have been something else.

Yes. The cords are absolutely necessary for the console to function. It would be like selling an appliance like a blender without a power cord-- it's useless without it because it won't work if it's not plugged in. As I said, I have bought many used consoles from many sources over the years, and not once have I ever encountered one that was sold without the cords. If you buy a console brand-new from the store, it comes with all of the cords. It is a reasonable expectation for a buyer to have.

I understand that the cords are necessary. That wasn't my question. Did the buyer expect them and is that why they left the FB they did?
Kind of like when you buy a new stove. In my experience, you have to purchase the power cord separately. Granted you have to have one, so there is no choice and I don't think it is unrealistic to think it should be included, but reality is that it isn't. It has to be purchased separately.

I hadn't even thought to look at that. WOW is an understatement. So maybe this current issue was Karma!?!?!

It’s the norm when you buy a new washer that you need to buy the cord separately. That’s not the same case with gaming consoles though, all the ones I’ve bought included power cords.

Honestly I get that. I really do. I wouldn't expect to buy a DVD player without getting the power cord or many other products.
But I've seen plenty of times when on Ebay and other sites that what I may expect to get the cords with are not included. And even those the OP is really hard on other sellers, I still think this FB is removable because the listing does not say they are getting cords. Just my opinion.

I understand lol, I’m not arguing with you 😁
I think it will depend on the rep. Used usually means it functions like new but may have a little wear. Listed as used I would expect the cords unless explicitly excluded.

You've left 4 negatives out of 4 purchases and 3 of them you mention faults / issues that were undisclosed.
Karma.

Worse than that - OP has about 100 feedback as a buyer (probably bought even more), and has never given a single positive.
When his purchases are fine he leaves nothing.

Guaranteed there's a few lists he's recently joined.

I think that we will have to wait and see if the FB is removed or not, because this area is a bit too gray, not black and white.
But IMO, it should not be removed because the seller did not say that the cords were not included. The seller could have easily done that, and if they had, that would have changed the situation, IMO.
The original listing had condition = Seller Refurbished, which is supposed to be fully functional as it arrives, and the seller is supposed to give full details in the description. This category also includes the condition = For parts or not working, which is the only condition that states "... This includes ... items missing essential components. ..."
I would say that the power cord would be an essential component, because the power cords are unique for most small electronic items, and power cords are not generally sold separately from the consoles. Also, the seller did not say that the power cord (or any cords) were not included. They didn't mention cords at all in the description. The seller could have easily made it clear that the cords were not included, but they didn't do that.
