I sold a game console and the buyer requested I send him the cords for it. In my listing it was stated it was for the console only and the photo only includes a console. He messaged me asking for cords and I told him the listing did not include cords. He then proceeded to leave me negative feedback stating the listing didn't come with cords.
Can I get this removed? Thanks.

Yes, call Ebay.

Hi, you may be able to get this negative removed. Have the following policy opened to the page when you call eBay to request a removal, and read it to them if needed. Policy states this:
"You're not required to agree to any extras or changes from the terms of your listing. If a buyer is making demands that are not a part of your original listing, you will be protected from negative feedback and defects when you either deliver the item purchased by the buyer according to the original terms of your listing, or cancel the transaction."
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/rules-policies-buyers/buying-practices-policy?id=4374
However, I would have done a couple of things differently in the listing. One, I would state the cords are not included. Second, not used a stock image. The listing leaves room for doubt and the buyer assumed the power cords were a given. Always prominently point out when something is not included that normally would be.

What about the fact that the item was classified s "new"?
From ebay: "New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item (including handmade items). See the seller's listing for full details."
Isn't "new" supposed to be like you are buying one right off the shelf? If it's missing something, it's not new.

Not new. eBay has shown you another listing.

You probably should not have responded to the feedback before attempting to have it removed.
Sometimes only the comments get removed, and the red remains.

Using a stock photo on a used item is not good.
Listing does say console only, but nothing about cords not being included.

Never assume buyers are smart or know what you know.
Lay out everything clearly in the description.
Even stuff you think to yourself like "well all of these come with that". Put it in the listing to protect yourself from the general lack of common sense that is the side affect of the go-go-go Internet world.

Yes, using common sense these days, appears to be somewhat rare.

"-Your Sony Playstation 4 console is guaranteed for 30 days to be fully functional and in excellent working condition"
Except how can they know if there isn't a cord to plug it in with?
If I were buying something that required electricity, I would expect a cord to plug it in, unless the listing stated that no cord is included.
The specs also allude to a power source, "Power Source Types Power Supply-External"
Maybe you should have said;
Your Sony Playstation 4 console will have signs of wear such as scratches and small dings and may have other minor cosmetic imperfections as well as no power cord.
Saying console only is not the same as saying no power cord.
Also, the only feedback that you have ever given is 4 negatives for 4 purchases, that's 100%

Karma.

When a listing is confusing, EBay sides with the buyer. It sounds like there were quite a few contradictions in your listing.

As others have told you, you should call Ebay tomorrow morning and go over this with them. When you call ask for a Feedback Specialist.
This does fall under the protections of Ebay for having FB removed. You shipped what your listing said you were selling. Your buyer is wanting more than was for sale in your listing. Your listing said it was for the Console only. Your pics showed that as well.
Make sure you call first thing tomorrow as that really doesn't look good on your newer selling account. If you have any problems getting it removed, come on back and we will all try to help.

If you are not including the cords with the console, you need to make that VERY clear, as most buyers will assume that the console will come with the cords that are needed for it to function. If I saw the words "console only," I know that I would not interpret that to mean that the cords were not included, as I have bought many used video game consoles from many different sources and they always, always included all necessary cords.
