It has recently come to my attention that a seller on Amazon has taken my photos and listed my items for sale on Amazon. When they sell something they buy it from me and put a note on the order asking it to be sent without an invoice or any type of branding. From what I read on Amazon, drop shipping this way is not allowed. They are also selling my items for 2-3 times more than what I sell them for on here. I have reported this to Amazon but have not heard back. Can I report them to eBay or should I just block the buyer and hope they don't have more buying accounts? I like the sales, but I'm still not happy this is happening. My items are branded with my seller name and website and it will be easy for customers to go to my eBay Store and see that they got ripped off on Amazon, then contact me thinking that I was the seller. Anyone else have experience with this?

What I wouldn't give to have a situation like you describe.
If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut very tightly, and bend over backwards to keep this particular buyer very happy.
I routinely sell stuff to other dealers. If they have the customer base that is willing to pay higher prices and can pay at ot near my asking price, more power to them. Everyone wins.

@atlanta_exchange wrote:The point is this, these Amazon sellers are middlemen connecting eBay sellers to Amazon buyers. Obviously, some eBay sellers could move to Amazon and capture the higher prices and profit on the Amazon seller is asking. The problem is Amazon has barriers to entry in certain categories and grandfathered seller accounts with zero restrictions on what they can sell.
I perform all of the procurement, storage, listing and shipping of my items on eBay. I have cash tied up in my inventory and assume all of the risks. I don't do all of this so someone else can simply use software to list my item on a competing platform, which I'm barred from selling my brands on, so they can reap profits from my hard work.
I don't get it. If you sell at your asking price, you are, by default, reaping the rewards of your own hard work.
If you don't like the fact that the buyer is able to turn around and resell it for a profit, then you need to knuckle down and figure out what they are doing that is different, and beat them at their own game.
Otherwise, just be happy you have a repeat customer who is lining your pockets with money.

I am having the same issue. There are currently several people on Amazon who are STEALING MY PHOTOS , marking my product up 3x or more than what I sell it for and using me as their personal drop shipper. Amazon will do nothing about it. What I have done is to block those buyers and report them to ebay. I also include a full packing slip with a note as to what is going on, telling the buyer they can buy it for less on ebay! That has resulted in some rather unhappy Amazon scabs. Ebay has told me they would remove any feedback negs that result from me blocking them on older prev. sales when they figure out the cannot fill orders off of our stock. Ebay also say's photo theft and doing this is illegal.. but those buyers who are doing it do not get kicked off.. even though I report them with links to MY product & the Amazon listing with the same title and photo and often the EXACT product description I wrote. I am also going to go into direct competition with these scabs... and will be selling the hacked products for just slightly more than what I do on ebay (because Amazon's fee's are a flat 15%) That should shut them down! Legally I ask them to cease using my product photos on Amazon... using official ebay communications. That way Ebay can see that I have asked. Hope this helps!

I would report to AMazon the infringement of using your photos and using you as a drop shipper.
Raise your prices.
I would write to the Amazon buyer that it is your policy to enclose a packing slip with every package in case of damage and that the post office has a way to return it. (Personnally, I would put packing / invoice in so they may start coming to you to make purchases) This is what I do. The buy will NOT tell me not to enclose a packing slip.

I've had one person ask me to not include a packing slip and I suspect she was doing the same thing. I still put in my thank you note I put to everyone. I always sign off with my name and then put on the bottom [cherry*kisses on eBay].

Can someone direct these amazon dropshippers to my store? I would love to sell more items. They can sell my items for 10x when I'm selling for as long as they pay my asking price.

The exact thing happened to me last year. At first it really bothered me, especially the copying of my pictures, but then i got to thinking, why am i complaing? More sales for me. The person paying 2X to 3X more for the item on Amazon obviously does not shop on ebay. The more this drop-shipper can sell for me the better.

As for the pictures, it's not like you're going to win any type of award. It's a freaking picture...and it's making you more money that you were before.

Wow, good news as you have a second seller helping you out. You can raise your prices and be solo instead.

"If you bought this on another venue, you probably paid much more than I sold it for on eBay".
Seems reasonable. If the ultimate buyer is annoyed at your dropshipping customer, he can report him to AZ.
Then add the eBay buyer to your block list.
If he figures out what's happening, he may drop you as a supplier. Until then, take the money.

Im still confused, ok, they use your stuff, you get paid. You are upset they are getting paid more though you do not raise your price on eBay?

I don't care WHAT the buyer does with my item as long as it's paid for and doesn't come back.
Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

We are experiencing this same trouble on my account as well and it has been happening since March 2018. At the beginning, we were excited because the sales went up. However, nightmares start as they start to file returns for the item by claiming "not as described", "missing parts" etc; those reasons to make sellers to pay for their returned shipping as always. At one point, these sellers don't actually return the item because they might take a chance to see if the eBay seller just refund the full payment so as to close the return. We have 9 out of 10 of these cases of return "buyer" didn't return item even we approved and confirmed to pay for the return shipping. They just leave the return opened and cause eBay to warn us that the return rates for this single item is high.
We tried to raise the price in purpose to make no room for their profit margin. It works for short while but more of these drop ship buyers return later during the year end shopping season. We complained numerous times to eBay about their pattern of behavior. One of the ladies working at the ebay dispute department helps to dig out these people and found these people usually involve a lot of ebay accounts. We understand honestly they could'n't stop these people but they do pay attention and suspend their accounts if they violate the eBay policies.
We believe these drop ship buyers are usually with very low feedback accounts and they made the purchases after 11 pm one by one which makes us doubt that if they are out of the country. The person who paid for the item usually is different with the person to ship to. Since they own so many accounts in order to place a lot of orders, they always can't manage their accounts well and so there is no response from them. We urge anyone who are having this trouble should report to eBay. After months of torture by these people, we stay very alert by blocking their ID once if anyone buy more than 1 of the same item.

Let's analyze this, shall we?
1- He/they are selling your items. That's OK, right?
2- They are reaping the rewards of your own brand. Hmmm....I don't know. You will become like the famous painters that have to die in order for their artworks to be collectable or well sought.
3- What happens when this seller has a return? Will he send the item back to you or what? Who will pay for the broken, lost or whatever item? Him!
4- Any other question is a moral question. Say that you are supporting drop shipping, which is a no-no for both Ebay and Amazon. I hope I am not wrong.
If you haven't paid for your item, you're a winning bidder, not a buyer!
