I have a buyer who wants to revise a negative feedback. I sent the request and the buyer sent a message to me with their revised feedback in it instead of doing it through the request. Although I instructed them on what to do I'm pretty certain they won't ever be able to figure out how to do it. I had already replied to the feedback, not sure if that creates a problem. Is there any possibility i could get ebay CS to be able to look at messages and do it for them?
(Already had, and agree, with lectures on preventing negs and replying to them)

Perhaps that will remain a 'real mystery' for you. 😉

Feel free to elaborate on whatever that is supposed to mean. But please make sure you read what was written this time.

The feedback revision request is pretty simple.
Sellers can send the revisions but it's up to the buyer to actually follow through.

I think you misunderstood. The buyer typed out just a revision like they were doing it through a request, nothing more, but sent it to me. I think they may be an elderly person and easily confused. Communication is a bit difficult.

I didn't misunderstand, you sent the feedback revision request your buyer chose to send a reply to your message instead of clicking Accept request.
The copy and paste portion of my post is pretty much what is in the feedback revision request sent to the buyer.
I figured your buyer either doesn't understand the instructions, or may not be fluent in English, I just don't know. From my 20 or so years selling on eBay I've encountered my fair share of odd buyer behavior.

Ah, I suppose it was me who misunderstood and you were pretty much saying the only way the negative changes is if the buyer does it through the request, therefore crying to CS would be a waste of time. Oh well, still a victory in my book:
