@braus3449 Message the Buyer and ask them to message you requesting a Cancellation. You can then Cancel using the reason "Buyer requested". Let the Buyer know doing that is basically no harm to either account.

These kinds of buyers often don't respond. I don't get it, they will drop hundreds of dollars on something and then not respond to messages.
I still never got a straight answer from eBay about what to do. Since buyer did not ask to cancel, on what day can I cancel? The buyer has paid, so no unpaid item case.
I was told that I should just keep the money by CS. I have been old here that I can cancel and claim buyer asked me(obviously I didn't do that).
Problem with address? I waited a while and then did that one but if anyone wants to give a straight answer about this that would be great.

Buyer already sent me a message requesting I cancel the sale. Where is this "Buyer requested" reason?

Sellers hub / Orders. Next to the item click on the dropdown, choose cancel then choose the reason

No cancel option. Just these,

I believe the system isn't allowing you to cancel because you still have the item...
So either use the "Send refund" option (which, hopefully it allows a full refund)...
Or mark it as picked up, then try and cancel (thou this option may carry risks as well, not sure).

Why not just cancel, citing "problem with buyer's address" (as in "seller does not ship to this address")?

No cancel option. Just these,
@braus3449 Click the "Send refund" choice. The next page will have a pull down menu at the top and the Cancellation reasons are on that list.

OK, under refund buyer I get this,
Haven't seen that page before, where I get to set the refund amount. And there is no mention that once I refund, my fees will be returned. Or that I won't get a defect.

Note that the grayed-out button says, "Review refund." After you enter the refund amount and click on that button, there's another step.

@espresso_warehouse Actually, you used the correct reason "Problem with address". eBay's list of reasons to cancel is extremely lacking. I wish I had the reference but eBay actually said to use that reason for certain situations where other choices do not apply and in so many words the cancellation by the Seller is justified. This may have been on a Weekly Chat or a thread where eBay was looped in but it was sometime last year if memory serves.
That is about the straightest answer you will get on this ...

@braus3449 The reason you select will trigger eBay to process your FVFs back to you and you will not get a defect on your account. I used the little pull down menu on one of my Sold items and the Cancel choice is there but it was not on yours based on one of your previous posts. This process (that you show above) is the newer way to process refunds be they partial or full or in your case, a cancellation requested by the Buyer.
Just process the refund amount for the full amount.

Ok that worked. After entering the amount and clicking the button, it showed the amount of fees refunded.
