My listing clearly says that I don't offer returns, however the buyer opened a case stating the item was not as described, however they don't state how my item isn't as described. I sent them a message asking them to clarify how it is different than what my listing described, and I cannot imagine what they could possibly say because my listing was VERY clear, and my listing also states that I don't offer returns anyway so how can they possibly even open this case when my listing says this. What should I expect on this? Will Ebay see this? I have heard and seen that Ebay just sides with the buyer, is this true?

Consumer protection will protect consumers against defective items anywhere you buy, not just Ebay.
But I don't understand the bad advice people give about the "danger" of calling Ebay. You will NOT get a defect just by calling ebay. If the rep says that, yes, they think it's an item not as described, then you can accept the return. No defect. If the rep says that the buyer has not shown an item not as described, they will close it in the seller's favor.
Your "no returns policy" has nothing to do with whether they will decide in your favor or the buyer's favor.

WANDER...
Unfortunately you are one of MANY Sellers who misunderstand the meaning of the "No Return" policy. To Ebay this ONLY applies to buyers who say they have just changed their minds--in other words--"Buyers Remorse."
BUT if a buyer says the item is not as described (Snad)---then seller DOES have to give a refund,
You received some very flaky and incorrect advice from some Posters who replied to you here. Ignore all that stuff---and just do what the poster MY BOARD told you to do . MyBoard knows more than many of the others--and she always gives good advice.

You do not want Ebay to get involved ever in SNAD case. You will get a ding for it. A ding that could boot you off Ebay as a seller if you have a few of them.
If the item has some value to it, have them send it back, then refund. If not, just refund them and block them. Sometimes, just having them return the item ends the problem right away.
I sell on Ebay under a different ID for now and also do claims/warranties for a small box chain store. I have yet to see the problems on returns on Ebay come anywhere close to the return rate (and the **bleep** that the customer returns) that happens at work.

Ebay's MBG overrides your no returns policy. If the item is not as described, it falls under the MBG, get the item you ordered or your money back.
Ebay's money back guarantee comes into effect if the item is not as described. Of course that would override a no returns policy. But the buyer that the original poster is talking about does not state why the item is not as described.
I understand, but whether they provide an explanation or not, they did say it was not as described, and so that was the case they opened.
