Buyer purchased item. I shipped. The buyer wanted a partial refund before the item had arrived because they wanted to price match another seller on eBay. I said no, I do not price match. They kept demanding more and more money and I said no, all sales final. They opened a case with eBay demanding a refund, and eBay sided with me. The buyer then opened up a dispute with the payment institution and now eBay says I've lost the dispute and are trying to take funds from me. Since I won the case, according to ebay's policies, not be giving ebay ANYTHING back in this instance? Am I missing something here? Before I appeal wanted to see what others had to say. Every other time I've ever had a dispute eBay's seller protection policies kicked in and I never had to do anything else. The chargeback reason they gave is the item wasn't as described, which clearly isn't the case here.
Before I contact eBay just wanted some advice. I should be covered here, but it seems like an eBay rep decided I shouldn't be.

Sorry, but there is not much you can do. You might have won the Ebay case, but it was not Ebay that took your money, it was the bank the buyer uses for his credit card.

. Since I won the case, according to ebay's policies.....

What was the reason for the eBay case originally filed against you that you "won"?
What was the reason for the subsequent "Payment Dispute"?
If they are for the same reason, then eBay can provide seller protection.
If not, then there is no seller protection for the second dispute offered by eBay.

The buyer opened a case with their Credit Card so it's known as a Charge Back and there is nothing ebay can do. You were sent a message about the case being opened (For charge back)- and they usually have a 'reason' and then you are to reply.
Did you reply?

You don’t take returns. Comes with the territory plenty of buyers know how to play the system.

Well there is your mistake right there. You could have asked for the buyer to return the item and then refunded. Online sales always have the option to have the item returned. No sale is "final". Thank Amazon for the situation.

I believe the reason eBay is not standing behind the seller chargeback protection is the case they filed with eBay was for a refund and is different than the NAD case they filed with the CC company so the chargeback protection does not apply.
