Should I refund this? The provided tracking number has already been sent to the buyer it seems. I wanted to refund my purchase on it and just get it dealt with at the post office, unless it is recommended I don't and to buy new ink cartridges and proceed with it.
I rarely ever use the printer to begin with so I was trying to avoid buying expensive ink cartridges.

If you are going to sell on Ebay you will have to dig deep into your wallet as you have to print labels. That aside, go get some ink and when you go to the purchase order it will allow you to reprint the label.

I would buy the ink and ship. Are you planning on selling other items? If yes you will need the ink.
Also if you cancel it will be a defect against you. No ink is not a good excuse not to complete the sale.

I wasn't asking to cancel the whole sale, just the shipping label. Is it possible? I've always just took my packages to the post office and got them measured, weighed, and shipped there. This time, I just thought of the print label button and went for it, but then suddenly no ink. May as well go get the ink I suppose.

Yes i did the same thing only my printer died. I had to eat the cost of the first label and print a new one. Just change the tracking number once you ship. That you can do easy enough. Good luck.

You could cancel the label (will take a little time to be refunded by USPS) and reprint as a QR Code - where the Post Office will print your label for you

your post does read that way.
You can cancel the label and then take the package to post office and revise the tracking number.

They most certainly will not have to if you advise them to get a thermal printer.

But I thought one of those cost an arm and a leg. The OP said they do not even want to pay for a cheap one.

If you haven't tried already, take the cartridge out shake it a bunch and then try to print again. I was in a similar situation where I only printed every once in awhile so the ink must have settled, and that would sometimes work.
Long term though try to find a used thermal printer, jokes aside from the previous messages. Truly life changing if you sell in decent volumes and plan to stick to selling online for years. One less thing to worry about running out of.

Go to you shipping label page and you can cancel the label. It takes about three weeks but you will get a refund back to the way you paid for the label.
Try this page,

I did one and received my refund yesterday. First it will say Void Requested then when it says Void accepted you refund is being issued. eBay should send you a notice.
