Books can't be shipped by media mail

Suddenly eBay labels won't allow the shipment of books by media mail.  Anybody know a way around this or when it will be fixed?

did you list the item in a category other than books?  I've seen reports that in that case, you won't be shown the media category.

Or if you're going to the Post Office, the price there is the same as through eBay.

Recent eBay tweaking does not seem to have reached the DVD category.

Same is happening to me. Customer service said it is a known glitch and they are troubleshooting. Said they are hoping to have it fixed by tomorrow.

I also sell owners manuals.  I am able to print out a ebay media mail label.

Just sign up to Pirate Ship and buy it through them. But as mentioned, I don't believe you get any discounts on it. Will be the same price as buying it retail from USPS.

yep, they said it was a glitch.  Another of Ebay improving things that causes problems for a few days.

I had the same issue and had to p[ay out of pocket for upgraded shipping of a clearly media mail item.  This place is a hot mess right now.

I had this issue too - I called eBay and had them reimburse me for the difference in postage due to their error.

Yep, happening to me too.  As others have stated already, ebay customer service is sayin it's a known glitch and they're trying to fix it.  Meanwhile, I'm have a book I need to ship out and I don't want to have to use priority mail to do it.

EBay recently changed the entire "Books" category to be "Books and Magazines." Since it is illegal to ship magazines with media mail, I think that's causing the entire category to be blocked. I hope they fix it, and quickly.
