What has been your biggest sale in terms of dollars?

$275 - my daughter's trombone. This was in 2012 or 2013.

$570 for some MCM silverware (not plate)...... paid $4, I think.  I tried to sell it by the piece and sold one in 6 months I think.....  The put it together and bam........

On eBay...A little over 3,000.00 for a book.

About 12 years ago on ebay, $6,200 for a filtration system.

My next was a Civil War era mans shirt that got around $2,200 auction, about the same time period

I would never risk those amounts on ebay now.

When I first started selling, I sold an 800 buck aircraft starter to Norway.

Sold 50 LB. of aircraft bolts for good money, but shipping was a witch.

On ebay, I get nervous selling anything over $20.00!

We sold our store sign, a vintage 1950s Neon tube sign for $2K.

A European (Austria, I think) man flew over & bought ours and another in rural Missouri. 

Buyer arranged removal and packing. 

About 2012.

He had a shipping container to ship back. He was going crazy over here with post war stuff. 

Europe was in a depression for decades and they just don't have that kind of item there.

Apparently, they were going to use the signs inside.

A 1950s style hamburger restaurant was the goal. Their idea of that is a little different than ours.

We were supposed to get contact info (for a visit!! ) and pictures. He disappeared, no longer on ebay.

Dave. I bought a rebuilt Hughes 500 starter/gen for my Allison turbine for $850 w/papers and when the project ran out of cash, I got $2500 for it at a time when Air Methods (Denver) said an S/G change out was on their books for about $4000 with labor and core exchange.

Very interesting - thanks for the introduction. I looked up Rut Bryk and found some examples of her work. My affection for art takes a bit of a different path.

Still it's good to expand one's world of knowledge and experience. Gee. wouldn't that be nice.

I have a wing tip spar repair kit for Cessna single engine aircraft, they all use the same spar tip.

A google search, and checking parts suppliers shows there are 4 at Cessna, none others.

But Dave has one.
