Being charged a fee for each revision.

Noticed yesterday I am being charged a fee of 10 cents for each revision. Has anyone else noticed this? I HOPE it's a glitch and will be resolved soon!!!

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

You have to watch EBAYS every move, especially when it comes to insertion fees.  Last month, my bill stated I had $48.00 in insertion fees.  I quickly called customer service and the agent verified everything and took off all charges.  This has been going on for the last 4 billing cycles.  Agent claims it’s a computer fluke.  It’s still happening.

Just tried to bulk edit 500 listings to update my handling time and it wanted to charge me $50.  NO THANKS.  Please get this fixed ASAP.   And don't tell me I can call CS to get the charges removed if necessary, I don't have time to sit on the phone and discuss this with CS when it's a systems error.

Hi @dtexley3, our tech teams are working on fixing this display issue but I wanted to reassure you that these fees are not being applied to your invoice. We've checked the examples we've been provided and run testing on our end and this is only a cosmetic issue. I definitely understand how frustrating this can be, but you are welcome to list/relist as normal knowing that fees are not being assessed incorrectly.

You might want to have your teams recheck things because I have read that some are in fact getting charged on their invoices for it and have had to contact CS to attempt to get them removed.  I also got that listing charge displayed and found that when I went ahead and went through with them that the number of remaining listings for the month had decreased by the same number of revisions i had made.  So in effect I was charged for it by removing the number of listings I had remaining for the month from my store allocation.  I did not bother calling in because it was not worth my time and effort for 3 listings that i knew I was not going to need that month.

But this "known glitch" is sometimes costing sellers their money and if nothing else their time having to double check that they are not being charged for it rather than being able to spend that time sourcing or listing product for sale.  That is the most frustrating part of the entire situation, since it does not appear to be costing Ebay any money it is not a top priority fix as us wasting our time does not appear to matter to Ebay.

Been reoported for three months and ebay is still experiencing a "glitch" . . . it's not as much of a "glitch" as much as it is to steal from it's sellers.

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

It started happening to me too today.  Ebay added best offer to one of my listings, I went to change it back (as in take BO off) and then I checked the fee and ebay wanted to charge me $.35.  Even if this glitch had it come off my listings for the month as someone else reported, I still have plenty left, so it shouldn't be charging me anything for that either. I don't want to take any chances on this "cosmetic" glitch so I guess I will just wait until the listing ends.:( So frustrating.

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

I AM GOING THROUGH A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH EBAY:  Firstly two items sell in one day (tv for 350 and camera lens for 400). PayPal sends me two emails warning me ebay put a hold on them both which is fine with me because I thought as a first time seller everything would be fine after customers item is reported delivered, well I was farm from right.  When trying to mail the tv for like 3 days,  I called and spoke to 5 different agents as none of them could figure out how to print a shipping label and Finally after the 5th or 20th (who knows lost count by now) got a manager who tried to figure out why there was no print shipping label button then said here let me charge your PayPal account for it and am sending you an email (to my personal email account) with the label attached. I advised the manager you cannot send a TV with a media mail label. Agent insisted very heavily and said all the sellers do this for there TVs. I went to the post office with the 42 inch TV wrapped up and as soon as approached the counter the USPS worker was like I'm going to open this to check whats inside when looking at the label, we got into an argument because I refused to let them open my package and I called ebay again and was told by a manager that I would be refunded the label as well the other agent was not supposed to print nor buy a label for me. This was all towards the end of August 2018 to the first week of September. During that first week my item sells and Ebay releases the TV funds and immediately takes out the shipping label cost in the amount of $21.02    I spend weeks going back and forth from ebay pointing at PayPal and back to Ebay. First Ebay says we refunded you to wait a week then they say 14 days then they say 21 days. Calling PayPal they see nothing from ebay in there systems and keep saying it is Ebay who is responsible for this. I spoke to a  PayPal agent who was refusing to file a claim then I spoke to the fraud department manager who said careful with this one you need to wait the full 21 days for us to have enough evidence before we can win this and said I can proceed but I have to warn you that many Ebay sellers are reporting things get funny with there ebay accounts and bad things started happening to them and I said alright let's wait and see what happens. Sure enough while  I am asleep my credit card starts getting charges  and Ebay starts generating lots of invoices = oh nos the system is messing up 😉  ...Ebay charged me a 3.00 fee twice on the same item for a reserve fee and on two other items. I had posted an item for bid to start at 47.00 then called ebay to find out  if I do a reserve for 60.00 will I still be able to accept bids lower then that and was told yes. Sure enough I get a bid for that and call Ebay to find out why am unable to find an option to accept the lowest bidder and was told just to lower the reserve price and when trying to do that I was getting an error. The agent replied I can delete the bidder and redo your post. I said what...no keep it the way it is and I asked for a Supervisor (*note this is the Philippines call center which they now try to keep routing me to after an hour hold time *note: my second home phone they answer right away=0 hold time even while the other phone still on hold ) The person I spoke to had no idea either and said I will put a "ticket in". I is now September the 16th and they got 5 days left till tge 21st hots and lets see whats magical will happen to my accounts while hmm if I revoke or leave permission to my PayPal account (will I be unable to receive my refund of $21.02) or (will my bank account keep getting drained until they think I'm at a loss)....hold tight for more exciting news and updates as I continue through this. God bless!

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

Were  you able to void the media mail Label?  You only have a certain amount of time to do that.......I've had the refund come at various times, but always gotten it......

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

I would love to go into the internet graveyard and dig up the version of ebay that didn't get many of us so riled up. Sometimes I want to lay a wreath on the old graveyard headstone.

Re: Being charged a fee for each revision.

Right at the top of the page where you void a label, eBay explains that the credit for a voided package service label (Parcel Select and Media Mail) can take 3 weeks.  You need to be patient for another week or so.
