I maintain 1500-2k of items of inventory. I sell on Posh/ Mercari too. I keep my listings on eBay around 950 to avoid going over the 1K. I list 5-10 new items daily, end anything that sells on other platforms. Well as of today I have zero listings available. I do not want to pay to list additional items as im not a big seller. How can I keep an actual count of my listings? I know the items that re-list count and my new items, but I make sales on ebay and I end the listings for items I sell elsewhere so I want to be sure I replace them and maintain a full store, but somehow have lost count as off today Im at zero! Hope this makes sense. Appreciate any help! Thank you

but I make sales on ebay and I end the listings for items

Ending items or selling items does not allow you to replace them with new listings. They are counted against your "available" when posted, and when removed for whatever reason it doesn't make more "available spots".

You can see a running total of available freebies on your seller hub under promotional offers.

It's almost the last day of the month (July 30) so all of your active listings that were started on the 1st through the 29th days of previous months will have already renewed. Some of the ones that were started on the 30th of a previous month may have renewed as well. And if any listings that were sold or ended early had already been renewed, then they used up their free listing when they renewed, and it still counts.
Your available free-insertion-fee listings will reset on Thurs Aug 1, so I would just wait a few days and you will have more. But if you're at the limit now, then you should only start new listings as older ones are sold, and then only if the sold listing had not renewed yet for the current month.
It's probably a good idea to avoid starting new listings on the 31st of the month, because they will all renew on the 30th in any month that only has 30 days ... for the shorter months, you get two days worth of listings renewing on the last day (the 30th). February is even worse, of course. The last few days from previous months all renew on Feb 28.

I believe that when you list and item at the very bottom before you list it eBay tells you if there's a listing fee or not

That is why so confusing, sold today and renewed the day before!! LOL I should just go for the next store and stop trying to keep up. I wish they would have a store between basic and next one.
