BUYERS NOT LEAVING FEEDBACK / NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT IT

I know this has been mentioned many times in THE PAST !!! BUT this IS NOW and IT'S TIME SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT IT !!! We SELLERS RELY on THIS FEEDBACK and WE are NOT GETTING IT !!!  BUYER RATINGS are ALMOST ALWAYS at 100%  !! Well I BELIEVE EVERY TIME a PURCHASE is MADE and NO FEEDBACK is LEFT by THE BUYER that 100% SHOULD GO DOWN !!! JUST LIKE a SELLERS RATING CAN FALL so SHOULD a BUYERS !! EBAY NEEDS to BUG THE BUYERS to LEAVE FEEDBACK !!! NOT JUST DO NOTHING ABOUT IT !!! SERIOUSLY , 20% , 30% , 40% FEEDBACK is PATHETIC !!! And IS NOT in REALITY a FAIR PRACTICE to BASE ANY BUSINESS ON !!! IF WE SELLERS GET JUST ( 1 ) NEGATIVE FEEDBACK IT STAYS on OUR SELLER RATING for OVER a YEAR !!! ( LOL ) AGAIN , THIS is NOT a FAIR PRACTICE for ANY BUSINESS and TOTALLY BOGUS !! IMAGINE IF WE COULD LEAVE FEEDBACK for EBAYS OVERALL PERFORMANCE ( LOL ) !! DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BUYER FEEDBACK !! IT IS NOT a CREDIBLE PERFORMANCE RATING BUT YET SO MUCH IS PLACED ON IT !!! LIKE PEOPLE'S LIVELIHOOD !!! WAKE UP and CHANGE THIS ( MALPRACTICE ) !!!

Really?    How would eBay know the seller has left a negative comment in a positive feedback for their buyer?  What if the buyer isn't even aware of the negative comment they received?

OP - I often - as a seller and buyer - leave feedback in batches. Answer yourself - this question - how often do you as a buyer answer the surveys or leave feedback on your transactions - whether it be the Post Office, a store or restaurant ect... Most of the time people don't bother to take the time to do a review unless they have a problem - so take no feedback as positive feedback.

I try to answer surveys or leave a review when I have received exceptional service from someone. I always leave feedback for my sellers here - but sometimes it may be a week or more before I rememeber to. Often as a seller - I leave feedback when I see the item was delivered and I haven't been comtacted by the buyer that there has been a problem - I probably receive back 1 -2 feedbacks out of every 10 left - but I'm grateful for those couple.

If I have a problem with a seller - and I first contact them and give them the benefit of the doubt that there may be a plausible answer - should they not respond  - appropriate feedback is left. I'm not doing my due diligence as a buyer if I chastise a seller and not leave appropriate negative or neutral feedback thus warning any other potential buyers that they may have a poor experience with this seller.  To me that is wrong - but that is only my opinion.

OP, you're making a mountain out of a molehill.  99.6% is a seller I would want to deal with as a buyer.  Take what everybody says to heart.  ANYBODY can get a negative for whatever reason.  It's how you handle it that matters.  You can handle it like a professional in response and look like the better member AND learn from it............. OR you could whine and retaliate in response and sound like an immature jerk while giving credibility to what the buyer was stating.  In fact, I would rather deal with sellers with a few negatives to see how they handled the situation rather than get an ALL-positive seller who may have had their negative FB scrubbed for whatever reason.  Savvy buyers know there are alot of ALL-positive sellers floating on ebay who really should be rated with their "scrubbed" negatives.
