BEST OFFER feature is simply broken. We need BEST OFFER for entire contents of shopping cart.

If I have a customer who wishes to purchase 20 items from me but all for a little less money because he or she is buying so many. The way it is now they would have to make me 20 separate Best Offers and that would give me 20 separate sales. Its insane. Then when I go to ship eBay only allows me to enter the insurance for the sale price of the single items value even though I will of course be sending them all together in one package.

Its almost like eBay does not use, eBay? Can we give the powers that be on eBay a task of purchasing many items from a single seller using nothing but Best Offers. Do this on both the buying and selling side and experience the nightmare first hand and actually use the platform you work for and you will clearly see that it is broken and needs to be addressed.

Next issue is that when us sellers receive Best Offers from buyers they all come up separate with zero info to let us know two key must have pieces of info that you just don't provide. We need this info to determine if we want to accept that offer or not. We first off cannot see does this buyer have something already purchased and awaiting shipping from say a Buy it now or even another already accepted offer. Second we can't see if the buyers making the offers are making other offers to us as well. All pointing back to allowing offers for multiple items in the cart not individual.

Last problem with Best Offer. Because of these above issues we now have buyers who will buy multiple items separate transactions and of course these all need to ship together so we can have the proper insurance coverage as well as to simplify the transactions for buyer seller and eBay and we can't. eBay should never ever block a seller for combining any orders. 

The way it is now eBay just does not work and must be fixed.

How can we make sure this gets seen by the powers that be? Please forward and get this fixed. Real big road block for sellers, a headache for buyers and just disappointing for all and bad for eBay. 

PS If you for any reason think it makes sense the way it is now I would like to make you purchase your next grocery order this way. One item at a time. One item per cart. One Item per bag. That is exactly how eBay treats Best Offers now and really needs to be addressed before we put anymore time into Pokémon and Sneaker listing tools. We cant even use Best Offer aside for single one item transactions.

For the record not a hater, I'm a longtime eBay user and lover. I just want the Platform I've used for decades and wish to continue to use for decades be the best it can be. Thanks

Never gonna happen. A buyer can put MANY things from MANY different sellers in their 'cart'- so, if you have a buyer that wants that many different things, just make 1 listing with those items and let they 'buy it now'.

Or alternatively have the buyer purchase all the items and send them a refund for the amount of discount you have agreed upon.

I do both and have no issues doing so.

I have buyers who buy more than 20+ items.

My International buyers cannot combine items and request a total shipping cost to me...per eBay...not me.

I just refund the buyers combine shipping when they pay...whether they request or not.

I went free domestic shipping to solve part of the problem.

There's that .35 or .40 eBay charge to the seller per item sold ...why would eBay change that?

Would eBay want to receive only .35 or .40 for an order 20 items or .35 or .40 for each item sold?

Thanks for the reply. I do everything I can too to help buyers but that's my point. While some buyers may contact sellers to do this some simply do not due to the hassle. There has to be a better way without hurdles or work arounds. Should just be a simple way for a guy to go to an eBay store and say hey I'd like to buy these 20 items at $5 less each and not have to make separate offers for each item.

Thanks for the reply. Ok then how about within the main cart all items are sorted buy the sellers and from that cart clicking on that seller of just those few items from that one seller and submit a Best Offer. Not that hard for eBay to fix. The way it is now I'm thinking of removing Best Offer and I really don't want to but eBay does make it very difficult. You cant even see if the guy making an offer has any other purchases or any other current offers among the other offers received for that day. Way it is now I have to look at every offer individually and record the seller name just to see don't know if I can accept that amount? is he or she making other offers??? already made other purchases??? none of this must have info is easily given to sellers

Hi @thestuffuwant . Because you have a store subscription, the simplest solution here is to create a private coupon for the buyer.

Click the blue "create discount" button on the top right of that page and send the code to the buyer. They can apply it on the checkout page with everything combined in one order.

Thanks for the reply. Thank you all who have replied with your solutions and suggestions. All valid usable workarounds. Completely understand, My point is we should not have to have a work around.

Most buyers will never contact sellers. If its difficult most buyers wont do it. And yes your 2025 Buyer is conditioned to no hassle click a button and get it purchase so we are losing sales due to this as well as frustrating buyers and sellers. I just want to put item A , B and C in a cart and send a Best Offer for A,B and C to the seller for the 3 and haggle easily from that point back and forth. Add items take items out price up and down until we both agree. Then we get 1 sale 3 items all shipped together with proper insurance and no hassle or wasted time.

Your problem may be solved by simply unchecking these:

Buyer Rules:

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.

*Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.

Click submit or save.

You are not using auctions at this time but you retain the default selections on these that eBay gave you.  You require a buyer to put up a payment source in order to make an offer to you.  The result for them, if you accept, is that the listing is immediately paid for, and combining items is not going to happen if they want to make offers on more.  

If you accept 20 offers, their card will be charged 20 separate times at full shipping cost for each.  You can stop this by unchecking the box that requires this nonsense for offers.  The result will be then when you accept, they will go to "awaiting payment"  and you can send a combined invoice for all of them to save on shipping.  You will only be charged ONE transaction fee instead of twenty for the separate orders.  They will go into the buyer's cart until you send the revised invoice for the lot. 

Be advised that any offers you SEND or counter offers you accept will be treated as "immediate payment required".  This is NOT related to the Buyer Rules, but for everyone whether they want it or not.  Each item must be paid for separately at full shipping price.  These are the ones that will remain for sale until someone pays for them.  Even if you accept a buyer's counter offer and they don't pay, you cannot send a reminder or invoice.  You cannot cancel for non-payment and award them a strike.
