Average Message Response Time Shown In Feedback Module - Another Test?

Noticed today that on the View Item page in the Feedback module for some sellers eBay is showing an average message response rate.

It's not showing for all sellers and I'm not sure what the criteria is - I don't think it's only for sellers that are particularly fast because I'm seeing anywhere from 1 hr to 24 hrs.

@mam98031 I don't think any of them actually say "usually responds" at this time.

I know @gwens*4saleitems* said that in one post but when you look at her other posts where she directly copied and pasted what she was seeing, you can see the word "usually" isn't there - it just says "responds within x hours" like every other one I've seen.

Hopefully they will add "usually" at some point as that would definitely be better, but I don't think it's actually happened yet from what I can see and what others here have posted.

I think some are in the rollout & others aren't.  I tried Gwen's instructions (which is where I was looking anyway) & I don't see it, I checked a brand new listing, an old listing & someone else's listing - nada, even tho' others can see it on my listing.  

I did not get a chance to answer the old ASQ last night.  Will update when I do.

I can see mine = 6 hours.

I don't think that's accurate; seems exceptionally long.

I find this very concerning. Normally I read and respond to messages in my regular email account.. This is what I have done for years. Then when I am in My Ebay these messages do not show up as read, even though I have read them and potentially responded to them from my regular email. If I do reply then the message in My Ebay will show the arrow that I have replied, even though the message shows as unread.  

I am uncertain if others have the same experience but as I said that is how I have operated for years with  messages.

I wonder if I am the only one just peachy with their 'hours' number.  Mine is 12; I don't know if that's an accurate average for me but I would consider it a reasonable expectation if I saw it on the account of a seller from whom I need a question answered, and a reasonable one for buyers to have of me.  Seems like most everyone else in this thread wants theirs to be either shorter or longer.  Too bad these can't be traded.  🤣

Yeah, I do the same thing & it's b/c of Ebay's bug of the >90 days error that they haven't been able to fix in 2+ years, so I guess I'll have to change my navigation to these.

It's so weird how some can see it & others can't.  I'm on a desktop with Chrome. I looked  at your first listing & as mentioned, it is indeed 6 hrs.  Right under your store name all the way to the far left.  I'm sure you're looking in the right place. 

I've been able to see everybody's for several wks. now.  Way before it was first posted on here.  I was "horrified" when I first saw this new development.   I don't think it's really accurate, at least not for this year for me, when I haven't listed that much.  I'm usually not online after 7:00 pm most days and will answer questions in the morning at 7 or 8 am.   I do check emails before bed but even if there's a question, I'm usually too tired & get back in the AM.    I take my time marking question as answered.  I always forget.

Yeah it is a little odd.  They normally roll out changes/tests in waves, but that's the actual change, not whether one can see the change or not.  I'm sure I'm looking in the right place too, but I'm not the only one who can't see it yet, so I'm not worried about it.

BTW, just got routed to 1st Dibs to look at an item & immediately a window opens up for me to ask the seller with prefilled text of me asking the seller if they have something similar & right in that box it tells me that seller usually responds in an 1 hour.

Thank you for the info.  Yes Ebay is going to be adding it as I previously said.  I was shocked it had started to happen so fast but as you have discovered for us the change has not yet started to happen.  It will, but I have no idea when.  I've had the discussion with the team responsible for this and they are going to add Usually to the front of responds.
