Anyway to get 30 Day listings set from Ebay offering "200 additional listings. Zero insertion fees?" I would like to use this promotion but not get screwed over by fees on these extra items and have them expire after the 30 mark so I don't get scummed over with the excess fees that will try to roll over if I got it on Good Til Cancelled since it will just auto renew...

There are no thirty day listings; they are all GTC now.

The easy way is to use them, list stuff and end the listings on day 30 or 29 or 28 o 27 or...........
It's really not that difficult.
All Fixed price listings are now GTC, eBay isn't going to change that for a bunch of free listings.

Ugh... I guess I gotta set some sort of reminder up for this. I hope whoever started this idea gets gall stones the size of bowling balls. This is complete garbage!

What happens when you can't log in in time to cancel your listings and they get renewed? This just happened to me.

You are out of luck! Although another venue I sell on has virtually the same GTC listing - I pay nothing to list. The other venue has a 120 day listing - but that only costs me 20 cents for 120 days. Taking a it every 30 days at 30 cents a listing can do some damage to many sellers who still don't know this is happening desote getting notification weeks ago.

You can use the 200 as auctions. They will be seen by those who search newly listed, ending soonest, and won't roll over.

Buy 2 calenders that are big. Hang one near where you do ebay. Hang the other one in the room that you hang out the most. (Take down any photo/painting that you don't like in those rooms.) List a bunch of things to ALL end late at night. Yesterday I started 144 items. 142 are GTC. My calender is already marked. I counted 28 and 29 days and on those 2 dates, I will be ending the listings as I watch (well , really hear ) a tv program. I will watch something that doesn't need to be seen but heard like a baseball game or a taped Judge Judy episode. Then I close them down. I plan on starting my remaining 56 items tomorrow. Again ALL will start between 9:45 to 11 pm. Then I mark my calenders. No freaking way will I let these run. Also I have taped my ebay names and passwords to the wall near my computer. My sons know that if something happens to me , they are to immediately end ALL items .
This GTC is awful. Can you imagine the sellers that get ill or worse die and their auctions are going to be relisting and charged 35 cents each? I actually made an error last week and 1 auction did restart. I immediately edited it and added 35 cents to the starting price. ANY losses MUST be recovered in the prices of other items. This is a business rule. Do you think that the supermarket loses money when someone eats a banana? Eventually the price of bananas or other items must increase to recover the loss of a banana. Trust me, I know. My dad worked for a big supermarket chain for over 30 years. GTC must go. People end your items and restart when you want.
Oh yes, I had a buyer email and ask me what happened to my item X. I emailed him, explained and told him that I was going to restart the item at 10:00 PM EST . I asked if that time was not convenient to respond with a time that he would be able to bid. He didn't respond. I started the ad and around 10:15 , he bought it. So if a buyer wants the item , I feel that many of them will write to you. I am thinking of adding to the bottom of description something like... " If you don't see an item that you were looking for, please email and I will restart the ad tonight."

If I'm understanding this, if I list GTC and do not want them to auto renew, there is no way to change this setting any longer to NOT auto renew, so I need to go in and manually END EACH item before the auto renew date? Can that be done in bulk or only 1 by 1? If it is as I think it is, after 22 years on Ebay, I won't be listing Fixed Price at all any longer, only auction.

Sorry, but that's on you if you waited until the last possible minute to want to end them as you can end them at ANYTIME.

I very rarely have people cancel or not pay for an auction item. Maybe 1 out of a couple hundred. I do auctions 99% of the time and usually only do BIN when they offer a special deal.

In Bulk, go to you Active listings (in the hub), sort by ending date, select the items you want to end, at the top see the "Actions" pull down, first choice is "End".

For the items I sell I don't want to do auction style because mainly its for people who need parts for cars and need them right away... Most people want that stuff sent right after purchase, not to wait till a bid is over in a few days. 😞

YOu are screwed. You need to bulk list. Today I have around 75 auctions starting between 9 and 11 pm EST. Guess what I am going to be doing in approximately 29 days? Now if I know that I will be busy , I will end them the day before. I plan on watching some tv like a baseball game and then approximately 1 hour before the ads are supposed to end and restart, I will just end them as I watch tv. So try to list a big bunch of items at the same 1 to 2 hour time. This way, you are not tethered to your computer constantly ending items. I now wonder if ever seller that was ticked off at ebay listed between 9 -11 pm EST, would that knock down eBay's system?
THis is going to cost me some sales because I preferred to list my diecast at least 2 hours later since most of my sales go to California. I have another seller account and yesterday, I listed about 145 fixed priced ads. ALL were diecast cars. I can't wait for the summer update. I am sure that this GTC is going to be a fiasco. Hopefully , heads will roll at Ebay headquarters.
