I have "where is my package" complaints every day. packages leave my local right on time and then I will end up with a long wait, usually 4 or 5 days, until i get a tracking update that reads "In Transit to Next Facility" and then nothing until the package is delivered.
I just had a package refused because it took from the jan. 24th to feb 5th to go from one florida post office to the buyers florida address.
I can go back and look at many tracking updates and my packages appear to be at my regional sort facility for 4 to 5 days. and the tracking up dates are very poor after that. the problem seems to be at the regional facilities but most of the locals do ok.
any one else seeing this problem?

thank you for the info but i have tried that 8777 many times. after re navigating the menu over and over again I sometimes find my way through to a usps employee who is of absolutely no help(unless reading the tracking info that you already know is helpful). there is no option to actually complain about a serious problem.

there is a good reason you don't give out tracking numbers. I will have to look into this a little before i hand out the info. i have your message. i also have a LOT of tracking info that proves just what you are saying.
packages being checked in the day after they get to o/s regional and packages sitting in the facility for days , some times 5 days, before they leave. its very poor management.

WHY isn't ebay getting involved? its there guaranteed delivery times that are suffering. do they have any idea how many ebay packages go through that facility? for all we know this terrible service is a bias against ebay sellers because of disgruntled postal employees who don't like to work.
ALL of my packages say ebay and i bet all 30 (or more) of mine end up there in one clump in the same bin. it would be easy to take out clumps of them and set them aside. stranger things have happened.
or this regional sort facility may just totally reek of ineptitude.

I ship exclusively by media mail and first class. I have not had a domestic buyer ask a "where is my item" question in at least three years (although I did have one from an overseas buyer last summer).

I just recently started purchasing my shipping labels from Ebay. I have noticed it does take longer for the tracking to be added and updated now then when I went directly to the PO though. It may just be it sits longer now in the holding bin before being scanned. I do love this option . No more lines, and I can even ship during off hours. Should have done it long ago. By guesstimates I would have saved over $500 on shipping cost alone last year.
