Anyone else on DAILY payments not get paid today like they normally would?

I just spent an extremely frustrating hour, mostly on hold, with my bank, only to finally have the problem blamed on Ebay.  Normally when ebay sends available funds to me over the weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday, in this case both), it shows up as deposited and available in my bank account Monday, no later than 12:00 PM, usually 11:05 AM for some reason.  But today there's nothing, not even 'pending' deposits from Ebay, and this wasn't a holiday weekend or anything.  The overseas phone reps for my bank (repS, plural, because they transferred me from one to the next) said Ebay has not sent funds, period.  But here in my Payments page, it shows FUNDS SENT at 2:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, same as usual.  

So I am just wondering if anyone else on daily payments did not see an expected deposit in their bank today.    I am not about to endure the grief of getting hold of another overseas rep (this time for Ebay) saying "Okay Ma'am" over and over, and then tell me it's my bank, not Ebay.  

Swear to god, it is the year two-thousand and twenty-two, a computer can process a bazillion calculations per second and transmit them via internet in that same second, yet when it comes to money there is no reliability or predictability.

And suddenly eBay grabs the right of retention of funds, which feels highly illegal to me. After all, it is my money!

Is eBay using the review argument for delaying payments because they have trouble to do payouts or maybe financial problems occurring?

I think it is time to look for a new sales platform, but first I shall look if it is not owned by eBay.....

The number of transactions you have as a buyer doesn't matter.  This is all about being a seller and your current experience as a seller.  

Ebay has a rule that pertains to New Seller and sellers that have been away from selling for 90+ days. The following is the policy that outlines why you money is likely on hold.  This is likely what happened to you.

It is the ACH or Automated Clearinghouse Services, which is a federal agency.  The ACH is how most money transfers happen, not just with Ebay.  I find nothing online about this federal agency changing what days they process transfers.  So if they would be kind enough to give you some additional information and then you share it here, that would be very helpful.

And if the ACH has changed what days they actually transfer funds, it would affect far more than Payouts on Saturday and Sunday.  While Ebay tells us what those Payouts will be, they do NOT actually enter the ACH system until Monday morning when they open.  Then they go into queue for processing. 

So if they were held up last weekend because of an ACH change, then it will happen again next week.  And if it was a problem with the ACH changing their schedule, then how or why were regular Monday transfers  not affected.

I know I have lots of questions and no answers, but if you would be so kind as to contact your source, maybe we could get this figured out.

Thanks, lol.  I have 35 years of telecom network engineering and computers behind me and have seen what I supposed might have happened.  Strange things happen out there in network-land.

Well I'm extremely happy to report that pack-ratz didn't know what they were talking about (no big surprise considering they never bothered to reply and make their claim more clear or believable).  I received my Saturday and Sunday payouts this morning at 11:05 and 11:35, like normal.  Last weekend really was just a fluke glitch, NOT the first weekend of a "new normal" process.

When i get a deposit to my account after the closing time on Friday it will only show as Pending until 5.59PM the following Monday.  But after 6:01PM it will show as Deposited.  And all day Saturday and Sunday any funds sent will be put into the Pending status.  Other  banks  have different policies on this and  with all the bank merging going on - what was good yesterday can and will change..  Our banks USED TO have real time deposits - time changes everything soon or later.   Another thing you need to consider is the time zone difference  from the east to west coast and of course Alaska and Hawaii or Guam and other protectorates.  Certainly it  sounds like the banks in Hurricane IAN's path are going to get  screwed up

A best  practice  would be to always keep some extra funds in your checking account to cover any returns that may come up vs draining the swamp

Thanks but what you're saying is not the specific issue that this post (or replies) are about.  Of course banks handle deposits differently; this post is strictly about ones that gave customers their weekend payments as AVAILABLE (not pending) on Monday mornings.  Last Monday that didn't happen.  This week it did.

Haven't had a payout for 3 weeks.. money keeps getting sent and then recycling like a mouse in the wheel, (resending payout, resending payout, resending payout) they told me to go in and change my bank account or at least delete it and re-put in the same account .. none of it works... I've talked to the account specialist management twice two different people and they lied to me each time...(said they would get back with me personally had my phone number and would check in to let me know what they found out never heard a **bleep** word)

 I think it's being done on purpose so they can collect interest, this is financial terrorism ...

 For the first 10 days they kept blaming my bank saying it must be on your Banks and cuz we don't have anything wrong on our end... Anybody else has any information I can use I'm getting ready to make a big YouTube video about this financial terrorism...

 We're going to rehash the bloody pig mask that they sent to the couple terrorizing them and went to prison for some of the top officials of eBay in case anyone doesn't know look into it. 

  So they won't send me a check so they can't send it to paypal, this is how managed payments works they do whatever they want with your money and they hold it as long as they want to you can't do a **bleep** thing about it... So corrupt..

Ebay has stated many times that they do NOT earn interest on monies held.  They even say it on the MP Policy page.

OMG can we can that old story from August 2019, besides it doesn't have a darn thing to do with the problem you are having.  Not to mention that none of those involved have worked for Ebay in about 3.5 years.  Let it GO!

They can't send money to PayPal because PP is NOT a bank, they never have been.

Might be helpful to learn more about the program you seem to want to trash with reasons that have NOTHING to do with the program.

Were you receiving your payouts just fine up until 3 weeks ago, and was it the same bank account then?  What does your bank say about it, like are they seeing the deposits from ebay but are unable to process them or something?  Or are they not receiving them at all?  There has to be a reason that ebay reps seem to think the problem is on your bank's end, but you haven't said anything about contacting your bank.  Maybe they're the ones doing "financial terrorism."  
But I'll be watching for the Youtube video.  What is your channel's name? (Don't post a link; it won't work, just write the name of your channel).

Once Ebay releases the deposit to the ACH banking system, the banking system is in full control of the money.  Ebay is not.  So even if the receiving bank looks and lets say they do see an incoming deposit coming from Ebay, any issue that there might be is in the control of the banks, NOT Ebay.

Ebay is simply unable to make same day payments for Sellers. They want to hang on to the money to earn the interest. That's just what they do.

@weissach928 While MP does process Payouts on Saturday and Sunday, they are not processed by the ACH banking system until Monday morning.

Ebay has repeatedly stated they do not earn interest on the held monies.  I'm not sure what more assurance you need.  It is written right on the MP policy page too.
