Anyone else noticing this about sales?

Pre Jan 2024 I would get sales from all over the country, between 35 - 45 most days. With a majority of those (50-60%) being in Cali, Texas, Florida the rest being spread out. Since the Jan 24 update, this was a big shipping update if you all remember. A majority of my sales come from the farthest shipping regions where cost is higher. I may get 2/3 sales from Texas and Florida. Not to mention we are down over 50% since then. Im not a conspiracy theorist, but I can say eBay makes changes without testing for unintended problems. They have 0 sandbox testing before they release any update on the public. I do not know about alot of you but i pay alot in fees esp ad fees (15+%) and pay for a large store as well. We are customers and not getting what we pay for. I would like to hear some of your thoughts on your sales since this date, most focusing on the shipping distance. Thanks

FL and TX have more population now than before. More population might mean more buying.

Most of my items appeal to older people, FL has a lot of older people.

CA, FL and TX have people with money. They need money to buy from me.

Seriously, I had a surge in buying from CA buyers right up to the fires. One shipment is sitting in the Pasadena PO waiting for pickup from a buyer with an Altadena address.  I am sure the buyer has more pressing problems, like finding a place to live. One of my repeat buyers has been evacuated.

Some people are still shell shocked by the election results. This past election had more dramatic effects on people's mental state than normal elections.

I try to have merchandise to appeal to people in many states, but living and buying in northern New England means I am likely to sell things which may not interest people everywhere.

You joined eBay during the height of the most active selling season on the retail calender. It is now passed and sales will generally fall off for many sellers.

There does seem to be something to locations when shipping. I have noticed certain pattern which makes me feel they are doing some king of location thang when showing/not showing ones items. Also since all these changes my sales have dropped up to 50% of most days. I am not a fan of all the changes they have made which seems to limit my sales.

Usually 3 days in a row I get only International buyers since I charge for shipping.

Then it's 4 days with domestic sales with free shipping.

I don't get a mix of domestic and International buyers every day.

If I see a morning sale from an International buyer...I kinda know it's the 3 days of only International Buyers.

If I see a morning sale from a domestic buyer...it's usually 4 days of only domestic buyers.

This of course excludes my 'repeat buyers' who buy an item every week.

If you don't sell multiple items every day as a seller you can't notice the trend.

Let me see if I got this right...

You're blaming ebay because your sales are coming from far away states and it costs you more to ship there?   🙄

Don't know what is going on, but with 35 - 45 sales a day I would be ecstatic.   I would be ecstatic if I could get 10 sales a month.

Sorry but we don't.  That was a year ago, so can you please clarify what the "big shipping update" entailed?  It seems you regard it as the potential reason for changes in sales patterns you've observed, but without knowing what you're recalling, we can't consider whether it was actually pivotal like that.
