Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

I woke up to day checked my messages and found Ebay had opted me into the Guaranteed Delivery Program. I opted out but I am still waiting for the page to refresh. I want nothing to do with it.

It is still showing up on all of my listings.

Re: Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

I just received my first message from a buyerasking why my items will no longer combine to discount the shipping. It has been well over two hours since I opted out but guaranteed delivery is still showing up on my listings.

Re: Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

I am Ebay's largest seller of the products I carry. I am doing very well without any "help" from Ebay. I do not want nor do I need any "help" selling.

Now I have to waste my time contacting customer service to get this resolved.

Ebay please just leave well enough alone.

Re: Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

I was opted in too even though I have 2 day handling.

When I opted out this morning, a pop up appeared asking why I opted out. One of the options were "I didn't mean to opt in." None of the options were "ebay opted me in."  I selected "other" for the reason and left them this.

I don't deliver the packages myself, nor do I have a distribution center or a special agreement with USPS, therefore can't guarantee anything. I'm a small seller and am not interested in your big-box programs. They don't apply to millions of us here. I don't appreciate your intrusive actions of opting me in. Please stay out of my business.

Didn't they say - on the weakly chat - that the opt-out wouldn't be there until June 1st?

No. That was the opt our for Free Returns.

The opt out for GD should appear once you've been automatically opted in.

Ain't eBay life fun?

I have 2 day on 2 of my IDs, waiting for it to kick in on the others before I xchange them over.

That's not a "fib', it's an outright LIE these days.

Re: Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

I got the same message yesterday.  Not wanting to be part of any such nonsensical program, delivery guarantees when USPS does not have any such guarantee, I eventually found my way to opting out, not an easy task.  If I go back to site preferences it shows I have opted out. Yet my listings now have a guanteed delivery date.  Oh well, I usally get everything outnext day so I will fight this battle later when I have cause.  Don't get me wrong, I do like Ebay and have been around nearly 20 years.  But they are run by a bunch of second class managers and overseers.

I got the email. I didn't notice it saying you have to have 1-day shipping? I have 2-day.

I'm not sure what the parameters are because there have been sellers with two day shipping that still have this on their listings because they have shipped same or next day, even though their stated handling time is longer. Ebay appears to be looking at what timeframe you actually ship in, not what you state as a handling time. Or it appears that way in some cases. Confusing.

I have a 3-4 handling time depending on the item. So far no guarantteed delivery times even though sometimes I ship within 24 hours.

That would be a VERY STUPID move on their part if they did that, as part of whether they have to pay out or not depends on whether the seller did indeed ship within their stated handling time.

Re: Anyone else just get opted in to the guaranteed delivery program?

You could try removing IPR from your listings. I understand that's one of the GD criteria (but then so was same or 1 day handling)

I just checked a few listings but IPR is not checked. I don't require IPR as I combine item's to discount the shipping.

Hmm, that's odd. I'm pretty **bleep** sure IPR was a criteria for GD listings.

I wonder if you've been opted in to eBay's forced IPR as well?

@Anonymous

Explanations? Anyone?
