Anyone else having issues with extremely slow response time while trying to list?

It took me hours longer to list items. While filling in the template, every letter I typed had at least a 3 second delay, my mouse would disappear, and the lag time was painful. Every listing this happened all day.

I tried clearing my cache/ browser and rebooting.. nothing worked.

It is beyond frustrating.

This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

This happens to me about every month when my PC is updating. I finally changed my settings to have it done when I'm not listing.

Any difference if you try another browser? Or if you temporarily disable add-ons in your original browser?

 

There are some add-ons that have been associated with slow loading of pages such as ad blockers, and some specifically linked to problems entering text such as grammar checkers like Grammarly or Language Tool.

Thank you. Just tried all of the above and it still sucks.

It's also taking forever to just load my items for sale screen. I keep getting a message that says the page is slowing Firefox down and asks to stop loading the page.

What other browsers have you tried? Are you sure you have disabled all your browser add-ons?

Internet Explorer and Firefox. And yes, def disabled the few browser add-ons I was using.

Have you tried signing out of eBay and back in?

   I'm on Firefox as well, and it's acting normally all-around. 

   Perhaps it's your ISP. Every once in a while I have similar slowness happening, I power down my modem and everything connected to it including laptop, turn everything back on, and it's back to normal. 

   There could also be something happening with the wireless system in your neighborhood. Contact your ISP.

Disable Malwarebytes Browser Guard.  I was using Firefox with that running and its now causing eBay to stutter and stick.

 

This is the message I get if its active:

No other site does it, not even this forum.  JUST eBay.

 

Not sure if its an update to the site or the tool, but its annoying as hell.  I had to turn it off from running on eBay.  And I really like the tool, it does a very good job at blocking bad ads, bad links and bad website stuff. Its not that its a bad program, but some update to something has broken it with eBay.

 

But you can turn it off for eBay by clicking the M icon either on the tool bar or by clicking the puzzle piece icon then Extensions and pinning it to the toolbar.

No it is not.  If you are talking about sellers increasing listing for the upcoming holidays, that doesn't happen until the fall and it still doesn't cause this.

This is usually due to something going on with whatever electronic device you are using.  I see you have tried all the normal things.

 

If none of that worked, try changing your Browser.

 

Is it an ad blocker running in the background or some other program interfering?
